Arrived to check in after a long hike, and was in my hiking clothes. I felt that the front desk person “looked down on me” and acted in a rather snobby way. I felt that way for most of my stay and even when I checked out. I only stayed one night in the lodge. Because of feeling judged, I didn’t explore the hotel’s amenities. It is a dated hotel, that felt over priced to me, and didn’t have air conditioning (really stuffy in July). Others have complained about train noise, but I didn’t hear anything that kept me up. This was my least favorite stay of my vacation.

The free shuttle to Lake Louise was great!

I was extremely impressed with the Post Hotel. The entrance lobby is beautiful in a historic vacation lodge sort of way. The rooms are very large with excellent beds. They also had a TV and refrigerator. No AC but they did provide fans in each room. Almost all of them seem to have balconies with mountainside views. There is lots of parking. One very nice benefit of staying here is the free hiker shuttles which run all day every half hour. Lake Louise is incredibly crowded and almost impossible to park at, so these shuttles are invaluable if you want a stress free visit. The staff at the hotel was excellent, and they provided many nice touches like a fruit basket in our room and staff stopped by each evening to offer water bottles and a tasty treat from the pastry chef. The hotel has an excellent gym, large indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub. It’s a very each walk from the property across a small pedestrian bridge to the nearby Samson Mall where you can find a grocery store and a few small cafes and bakeries. The property was beautiful and really felt relaxing to stay there.

Shared a room among the three of us. Upstairs portion had own bathroom and bed while downstairs was king and respective bathroom. We had two reservations so saw two different room styles. The first set up had closed doors for the bottom room which allowed for more privacy. The second room had an open floor plan so the king room was open to the living space and you could hear the bottom floor from the top and the top floor from the bottom if that’s something that would bother you. The main reason why we stayed here is that it offers a free hotel shuttle directly to the lake Louise area, where you can get to the Fairmont, where all the hiking trail start, canoe, etc. It’s more of a rustic/log cabin style room so if you’re looking for something that’s more modern/up-to-date, this isn’t your place. However, everything is very well maintained. The pool and hot tub were excellent. The outpost, casual dining had exceptional food and we loved it. We also ate at the fancy restaurant and the food was good, but honestly, the outpost casual dining was better. Overall great day and wonderful services for the convenience of getting to and from the park and not having to worry about paying for parking, getting permits through parks Canada every day, or waking up at the crack of dawn to get to the free parking lot.

The staff and the facilities were fabulous and the bar and restaurant were amazing. The pool area and gym were exceptional.

It was a beautiful hotel!

The Post was amazing!! We had the family suite and it was amazing with great views. The best part though is the staff, everyone was so nice and helpful! Our tweens even wanted something for a snack and the front desk sent a microwave to the room for them!! The restaurant was amazing as well and the comp shuttle to lake Louise was so helpful!

We splurged to stay at this property and it didn’t disappoint. Top service, comfy beds and robes, turndown service, free shuttle to Lake Louise, easy /scenic walk to Lake Louise village. The only negatives were no fridge in the room and not a lot of space to put things (eg second suitcase).

The shuttle service to Lake Louise was key. The rooms are a bit dated & there wasn’t a mini fridge or many dining options. We tried to eat at the pub, but after sitting at the bar for over 10 minutes (there were five other customers) we never got waited on, so left & went to this diner-like place in the shopping plaza next door to eat. All the other employees at the property were extremely curteous & helpful, though.

Exceptional staff and very comfortable hotel with 4 dining options, indoor pool & spa. This is my choice for accommodations in Lake Louise. They have shuttle service to both Lake Louise and Moraine Lake as you cannot drive to either destination.

Pour le prix, l'hôtel n'offre pas une service à la clientèle à la hauteur. Nous avons été beaucoup mieux reçu à des endroits moins guindé ou moins sofistiqué. De plus, bien que la chambre offre un cerrtain charme, malgré le fait que se soit vieillot, le bruit du train qui passe régulièrement la nuit nous a dérangé. En bref, je ne crois pas que payer aussi cher apporte une expérience qui en vaille la peine.
