Really clean and well equipped room

Overall well maintained and cozy. Felt like newly refurbished. Quiet location. Although, the bar establishment can be loud, you cannot hear them on 2nd floor with all windows closed. Would have given 5 stars, however, we found that the keybox outside our room was unlocked, and another key to our room was in there. Probably used for cleaning staff. But that meant, everyone could have used that key to get into our room while we were sleeping or sightseeing. Unacceptable! Luckily, we had a room on the top floor, so not many are passing through. But it is still not okay nonetheless.

Great beds, really decent good value. My new go too.

Boutique property easy to access quiet area comfy king size bed loves coffee machine

Super friendly staff, clean, modern and spacious! The pub downstairs is really nice too. The area itself is very quiet: meaning no nightlife and the next tube station is a bit of a walk - but there are many buses around. The only downsides: no fridge, no elevator and no breakfast - but there are bakeries nearby (my tip: "Cooks and Books"). Pricewise an absolute "No-Brainer" for a comfortable stay in London. Would come again.

I stayed there for one night. The facilities and interior were clean and it was very comfortable. I had plans for the evening so I couldn't use the pub this time, but I would definitely use it again the next time I visit.

Fantastic stay. Was looking for somewhere just outside of the city centre which was nicer than the awful travelodges and premier inns. This was a fantastic little treat. Beautiful clean, comfortable room which was nice and roomy. Nice quiet little suburb too. Had dinner at the pub which was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely, comfortable room

Beautiful new rooms above a typical charming London pub, that distils it's own Gin! Really quiet area with lovely walk along the canal. Happily stay again.

What a fabulous place. A wonderful clean and spacious room, with a comfortable bed and great shower. The food in the pub is first class. The area is lovely and quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

It was a cute room but lacking information about the stay, no wifi password etc and no info was given when I checked in. there was quite a lot of noise bleeding through from the other rooms so I slept quite badly one night. Overall a good option for a cheaper stay but definitely more of a b&b than a hotel.

Friendly, efficient welcome from staff and a beautiful room. We didn't experience any disturbance from the pub as some other reviewers have. Great location within easy walking distance of Upper Street. Would definitely return.

Newly refurbished and sound proofed over a lovely pub with great food and beer

Lovely rooms in a really nice area of london. Access was great and rooms were excellent and a really nice pub below. Would happily stay again.

This was perfect for us

🌟 Smart but very noisy, if you don't mind the following, then this is the place for you. There's a noise nuisance from the pub below (customers, live music and open kitchen generator), single glazed windows mean the windows might as well be open 24/7, guests on the stairs, banging fire/bedroom doors, corridor and TV volume from poor sound poor proofing all could negative impact on your stay. Apart from that its a smart guesthouse in Islington.

Lovely housekeeping staff so nice and helpful. Lovely room. If you hate noise then you need to know its above a pub that does live music at weekends but it closes at 11 pm. You get given a code to a door so its easy to come and go 24/7. Theres everything you need within walking sisrance.
