Very nice small hotel, best in the area

restaurant is very good, however you need to wait 30 min at least to get breakfast or lunch, dinner…..

Don’t venture out the back of the hotel. Absolutely shocking with tramps living in the rear accommodation block. Would not recommend at all.

Very nice room even though it is a very old building. Good bed, good waterpressure in the shower. Some minus for noise from the bar and restaurant below so will ask for a room higher up next time

Had a wonderful day right before Christmas. I liked my room very much. The staff were all lovely, especially at check-in, the pub, the bar, etc. It is always been one of my favorite places to get a holiday Sunday roast with my family. I was very happy to finally stay there as a guest.

Lovely historic hotel. Very comfortable room and bed and would happily stay again. Shower could have been more powerful and staff at breakfast could be more welcoming but otherwise all good.

Pelham was lovely although we originally booked a room in the hotel which I think would have had more character. Bed was super comfy.

歴史的な建物を利用したとても素敵なホテルでした。バスタブが室内にあり、シャワールームもありました。併設のパブには犬連れの人が多くいましたが、皆とてもフレンドリーで静かに美味しいビールを楽しめました。 すぐ近くにはお城の遺跡やビールの醸造所があります。 次の仕事のためにタクシーを手配してくれて助かりました。 小さなホテルの良さがギュッと詰まっています。またぜひ行きたくなるホテルでした。日本人にはイギリスのカントリーサイドを楽しむためにぜひ訪れてほしいです。 駅に近く、スーツケースを持っていても歩いていけます。

nice stay!

As this stay was purchased via Tesco Clubcard Rewards I was expecting the usual quality lottery, however I was pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and well located. It’s right on top of the castle which unfortunately for us was shut, so we passed our time in the local pubs and restaurants, of which there are plenty. I would definitely stay here again, but as others have suggested, have a plan about where to park

It was amazing. We paid for a cosy room, and it certainly was. The sloping beamed ceiling required you to maintain your concentration when manoevering around the room. Nice touches were the edible treats to welcome you.

Beautiful old hotel in the centre of Lewes. Lovely communal areas.
