We enoyed the doubly “smart” room — both the clean, modern decor and the motion-activated automatic lights for the main stairs (though they take time to come on) and the bathroom (shut the bathroom door when not in use so you don’t trigger those lights when you walk around in your room). Also appreciated the towel warming rack, and the frosted bathroom windows. The room was very comfortable and quiet, as Grimston is a tiny village in a rural area. The inn’s on Grimston’s main road is convenient to nearby Happy Valley (wedding / event venue) and to sightseeing in Sandringham and beyond. The hosts were gracious and friendly. We will be happy to return when we are next in the area. PS. I would try to arrive at Grimston during daylight hours, if you are not used to driving in rural England with old, narrow roads.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the owners friendly and accommodating. The property was strategically located for our activities, including Sandringham, Houghton Hall and Gardens, and the Hunstanton through to Wells Next to the Sea area. It was convenient to our ancestral homes in Swaffham and Deopham. Went to the Samphire just over 1/2 mile down the road for a nice dinner. Picked up a few items at the shop across the street. Met some friendly couples at breakfast.

Beautifully kept, comfortable and spotless accommodation with convenient access to King’s Lynn and the surrounding area. Communication was excellent throughout, the breakfast was outstanding, and I would highly recommend The Old Bell to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent hosts, Jacqui and Greg. Certainly the nicest B+B we have stayed in for a long time, very comfortable and well equipped. Decor very neutral and modern. Certainly would not hesitate in returning. Thank you.

Room was lovely. Had everything you could need in and the staff were so helpful. Even before we came to stay they were helping me with taxis and any information I needed as we were staying there while going to a concert at Sandringham. My wife and I will definitely becoming back.

Absolutely fabulous. The property is finished to a very high standard and has lovely little personalised touches. The owners are very friendly and professional and not at all intrusive. Breakfast was superb too. Overall, we had a lovely experience and am certain we will return.

This hotel is immaculate, the room, the bathroom and everywhere else. It is really spotless: from the beddings to the towels. The window shutters and carpet are of exceptional quality! Lots of choices of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room! The small fridge and a hairdryer look brand new as well. Brilliant! If you look for a cosy hotel in Norfolk, "The Old Bell" is a sure destination.

Best ever, felt like home

We were welcomed warmly by Greg who explained what we needed to know and showed to our room. The room is as nice as any room I have stayed in and I’ve stayed at the Mandarin Oriental!! The bedding was Luxurious and the bed wonderfully comfy. With tea and coffee making facilities in the room with fresh milk, I hope I have a reason to return. Absolutely 5 Stars

Our room was very, very clean; linens crisp and nice, soft towels. The breakfast was displayed beautifully; fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, fresh bread, homemade pastries, cereals, yogurts, juices. Greg and Jackie so welcoming and friendly!

The property has been updated really tastefully and to a very high standard. Our room was spacious and perfectly appointed. The bed as super comfortable with crisp bed linen. Excellent continental breakfast and friendly hosts.

Lovely welcome & accommodating service from the owners. Room light & spacious. Great location, apart from woken at 7am one morning by delivery to shop opposite. Would recommend Mems in Kings Lynn for good value evening meal. Snettisham Beach great for Knot murmurations when the tide is mid-way in or out. (Be aware there are no toilets there, however.) Overall a great break😊

We were given the warmest of welcomes by Greg and Jackie. The room was very stylish and everything in it was of very good quality. Continental breakfast was freshly prepared with warm croissants etc and a great selection. A great place to stay!!

Booked at last minute on way to office in Norwich, check in very easy and parked right outside. Room beautiful and very clean, popped to local pub for dinner. Can highly recomend!!
