The standout from this place was the pool. Easily the best to date in Lanka. It runs directly East to West so has the sun permanently on it, making it lovely and warm. It also appears in very good nick so I would guess is relatively new. The room was pleasantly adequate with no complaints. The odd thing was there was no reception as such so to find someone, I discovered ‘hollering’ ended up being the best way. Location is definitely Marmite with peace, quite and seclusion giving it a glowing reference but distance to shops and Tuktuk making less preferable for some. I would have stayed a lot longer but internet can only be described as sporadic at best so if that’s an essential for you, I’d pass or enquire as to whether they’ve upgraded or not

The property itself was nice, especially the pool. It’s in a very remote area though so count on that you have to get back early and spend your evenings there. Stuff was nice and helpful. Kind of disappointed at the high price of the dinner (higher price than in a nice restaurant in Colombo) and that they charge you for water (tripple price). I’d rather give a nice tip than to feel ripped off since you’re kind of depending on eating there. Even though it’s not much money, it destroys the overall experience. Also the owner just messaged me the bill, no ”hope you’ve enjoyed your holidays” or whatsover. I’d appreciate more service minded approach.

Séjour reposant dans un cadre calme avec une belle chambre et une piscine. Un service appréciable à toute heure de la journée et aux petits soins. Hotel, facile d’accès, cependant si vous n’avez pas le chauffeur privé, il peut être difficile de trouver un tuktuk pour la nuit du aux éléphants dans cette zone.
