Economical - good food and helpful staff

What a beautiful old hotel! The staff were absolutely wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable :) we had dinner in the bistro and it was delicious and fresh! Great location, we went for a lovely hike around the lake! Thanks for having us!

I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff member and was allocated a clean and tidy single bedroom furnished with period furniture appropriate for a country hotel. The hotel seemed to have a good reputation as a restaurant, and on Saturday night was heavily populated with diners in all areas.

Excellent place, very welcoming. Clean and comfy, with a pleasent bar and bistro. I enjoyed my stay and would return.

I was met with a very engaging owner who showed me through the hotel. My room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed and efficient heating. Bathroom was a shared bathroom but was very clean and plenty of hot water and large 'fluffy' towels. The evening meal was very tasty and there was not a long waiting time for the meal. Very helpful and friendly staff. A beautiful country hotel and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
