Way up on the mountainside with a beautiful view of the valley and the Douro River. Valeria is a wonderful host and the place is truly something special. The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms fantastic and she thought of every detail.

Everything about this property felt special—from the stunning location and breathtaking views to the serene atmosphere, charming rooms, and outstanding amenities like the pool, hot tub, and sauna. It’s truly the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in Portugal. The owners, Paul and his wife, were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and full of local knowledge, which made the experience even more memorable. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s the most peaceful retreat you could hope for.

Les hôtes sont super sympathiques et attentionnés. Quand nous leurs avons fait part de nos plans durant notre séjour, ils ont pris l'initiative de faire quelques vérifications, questions de s'assurer que tout aille le mieux possible pour nous. Ils nous ont aussi donné quelques suggestions d'endroits à visiter dans la région. L'emplacement est simplement spectaculaire et offre une vue magnifique sur le Douro. Les installations sont propres et super bien entretenues. Si c'était à refaire, nous passerions une journée de plus afin de prendre avantage des commodités à la disposition des visiteurs (piscine à débordement, jacuzzi et sauna). Tout était parfait.

The property is so tranquil and relaxing with beautiful views of the valley & river. The hosts Paul & Valeria made us feel so welcome. Very friendly and helpful with all our needs. With only 4 rooms currently, the place is intimate and at times all to yourself. Beautiful infinity pool, wood burning hot tub & sauna all with outstanding views. I would love to return when everything is in bloom. Highly recommend Quinta de Raj!!
