Location is everything for this property, right on Broad Street, next to the shops and an easy walk to the beach. For this we found it perfect. However the property itself could do with some TLC. The steps leading up to the property are shared but are not the greatest first impression. All it would take is a good sweep and tidy up. The bedrooms are spacious but so hot as we couldn’t seem to open the windows. The week we were there the temperatures were between 20-25 degrees, much less than the week before but the whole property was so hot. There were two fans but they were not sufficient for keeping the place cool. I know heatwaves are a newer thing for this country but if it’s going to be part of our summers, more will be needed to keep this place liveable. Kitchen was nice and had plenty of equipment etc. Bathroom good too. Just in general the property could do with a deeper clean (cobwebs in the wardrobe and lining paper in the chest of drawers were dusty). Finally the parking space is through an extremely narrow alley so anything more than a small box car is too wide (as we found out to our detriment! Our own fault for even trying) so be warned for our mistake! But for location, it is a win!
