If you’re looking for a hotel this is NOT it. There is no staff to help you. The person who was cleaning rooms helped us and that’s bc my partner speaks Spanish… if not we would have not gotten a room that we had reserved and paid for. I was a bit concerned in the first 10 minutes of getting there. It’s basically a notch above a hostel which is if it was described that way. We had to flip the breakers 4 times in 1 night because the ac would go off because there wasn’t enough for everyone. And another guest is the one who showed us where and how to flip the breaker. The biggest issue was that a person who does the pool or was hired by a company … came by after 2 days of our stay- he did not take a ph balance and just threw chemicals in. My hair turned green and became very stiff like it had mousse in it from the 80s. I have a picture. The owner/ manager is not on premise nor in the country and he was made aware of the situation but did nothing about it. The location is great and I’m sure that’s what keeps it going. I get the low key casual vibe… and there is also a balance of hosting people for what they sign up to as a property is described and it’s on hotels.com. So it totally leads you into a hotel environment and that has a staff or at least 1 person that can help guests thru out their stay. So I would suggest taking Casa Kai off of hotels .com and putting it on an hostel site.

Room was clean, big restroom hot and cold water , air conditioning working good they algo have a ceiling fan so perfect ! Location is great a couple of blocks away from all the restaurants and bars like 3-5 min walk max. Leída is an excellent host, she message me every day if I needed room cleaning and give me recomandations or restaurants and taxi . I really enjoy my stay there

La atención por parte de Leida fue muy linda. Estuve muy agusto durante mi estancia, aparte está muy muy cerca de la playa. Me encantó!

Las instalaciones y los servicios, la ubicación está muy bien: cerca de la playa y a la vez lejos del ruido de la zona de bares y restaurantes. El personal nos presionó para hacer la limpieza de la habitación antes de las 11 cuando nosotros salíamos de 7 a 10:30, es decir, tenía tiempo suficiente sin necesidad de apurarnos. Pero en general, su trato fue atento.

I enjoyed my time at Casa Kai. The pool is nice, everything is kept clean. The best part is Leída who works there, she is so so nice. She was very accommodating always checking in to see if I needed anything. I had a fall and had to get a taxi and she and her husband helped me a lot. Thank you very much!
