Really unpleasant stay I parked in the public car park because the roads are narrow and on street parking is a risk. Property appeared closed when I arrived. A man appeared from somewhere and was insistent I park on the street. I tried to explain the car was fine where it was (Nb, I wasn’t expecting them to pay for it). This seemed to upset him. Got his son on the phone to tell me to move my car to the street. We eventually left it at “I don’t have a car” Room was clean enough. Used toiletries left in bathroom. No mention of breakfast. Got the password for wifi, connected successfully but no internet access The following morning, I just wanted to go. Assumed breakfast was an error (apparently common in Albania that the listing says breakfast but actually extra). I was accosted by the staff wanting me to have breakfast and to pay “566”(leke? City tax- although twice the rate I was expecting? Maybe?). Paid 600ALL, this was met with “no”. Unclear what the issue is, implication it wasn’t enough rather than that it was too much or change was an issue. Ended up giving €50 just so I could leave in tears. Never again My best guess is they had me mixed up with a different reservation (perhaps someone had insisted on a car park being saved, not prepaid and booked as a couple). The best location in Berat with a panoramic view .The room was clean, The owner was very friendly and helpful.Having a good breakfast on the veranda was a highlight.I highly recommend this place.

The owners are super friendly and helped with everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Breakfast was delicious and different everyday, our view was amazing, and location was phenomenal! Our excursions were 10 meters walk from where we were and I cannot recommend this place more for your stay in Berat!
