Great location, close to China town, Flinders train station and tram stops. But you may find the tram noise annoying which is not a problem for me at all.

Nice place in middle of the city

Definitely the second worst mattress and base I’ve ever slept on. Should be sent to landfill immediately. And the room was grotty. Needs a serious deep clean. Apart from that, staff good, location excellent. They sent a helpful text message, explaining how to get in and where to find the key, way ahead of time.

Room was absolutely filthy never dusted or vacuumed - bed and towels were clean - room was completely ran down - shower curtain covered in mould - there was no toilet paper in dispenser however found one on sink - aircon only worked with curtain open and it was very noisy being on swanston street and to top everything off the TV didn’t work - fuzzy reception, it was basically like staying in a seedy hostel in the best location in town, lastly no reception desk after 5pm had to call 3 times to finally get them to send details of door codes etc, if it was renovated with a safer elevator it would be amazing with the location.

The room itself was pretty dirty. Lots of built up dust underneath furniture and appliances. The air con worked great, no issues there. Check-in was straight forward and easy. The location is great. 3 minute walk from Flinders and ease if access to Melbourne. It could use a bit of care, but you get what you pay for and it served its function as a short-term stay.

Beware! We had to change rooms because the one we were in didn't have working electrical sockets and smelled bad. The new room had clean beds and working electrics, but all public areas have graffiti, really worn carpet, bits of rubbish. The staff are really nice and helpful but the building is in serious disrepair and didn't feel very safe.

Terrible room, window broken, drafty and noisy, tv not working, light switch for bathroom unsafe. Extra bed cramped in so very hard to get to the bathroom. Was booked for 2 nights, left after 1 night and requested a refund for the second night.

A bit on the dirty side, clearly an old building underneath everything. Not especially secure entry. Swanston St is pretty noisy in the evening. But hey, it’s cheap.

The hours reception is "open" are too short and often unstaffed. The staff were Chinese with English obviously being their second language. That's not their fault, but Australian travellers should not require a translator to receive basic services in Australia. The night manager is rude and difficult to understand especially on the phone. The room cleaning staff were polite, and their English was much better than the night manager. One of the three elevators is not working but there is not an out of order sign. The middle elevator is covered in graffiti and stinks from a joint jammed in the wall. The stair wells are a filthy mess. The doors and walls are covered in graffiti. Rubbish is strewn about the floors and stairs.

There was an AUD31/day coupon for the carpark. The flat parking cost was AUD30/day. I parked the car for 36h inside the designated carpark. When I wanted to exit, I used 2 coupons, as instructed by the hotel staff. The total cost was AUD60. At the end I had to pay AUD20. I called the intercom, the parking staff did not care and asked me to pay. This is totally unacceptable. I want to be reimbursed immediately. I have all the necessary tickets and photos with me to prove it. Please contact me ASAP!!!

Checked in, wasn’t given the after hours code to get in. Had to make a phone call to get that. Apparently there are two codes to get in and was not given the after hour’s code to get into the building. There was no toilet paper and was told that it will be left outside the door, sadly it was not, we bought our own. There was disgusting graffiti in the lift as well as exposed wires with tape on the ends. The drawers in the room were broken. The tv bracket was bent down and wasn’t sure if it would fall off the wall. Other than that, the bed was comfy.

The man at reception was very unpleasant. No hello just said ‘ID and debit card’ should not be in the job. Room was unclean and you could barely see out the window they were that dirty. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again

The room smelled musty, the walls were dirty and grimey, the carpet was covered in dirt and mould ,there was mould in the shower and the TV didn't work.

The bed was comfortable but the room was grubby and poorly maintained. The TV didn't work properly and the only chair to sit on was basic and uncomfortable. No staff after 5 o'clock made it feel a little unsafe returning alone in the evening.
