location is good. facilities are very old such as no central lighting control, washroom equipment and style is old Many people can go to 16/F without security check or no need the room card to go to 16/F

No noise abatement between rooms, very noisy at midnight, but the location of the hotel is excellent near to central station on food within 6min. and George kind square bus station on foot within 1min.

Located near the Central Station within 5 min. on foot. Can go to the Queen St. within 5 min. on foot and South Bank parkland on foot within 15min. on foot as well. Great location ! However, the rooms are lack of noise abatement, such we heart very noisy from the adjoining rooms and the corridors at midnight.

Really friendly and helpful staff, nice rooftop pool, comfy beds, location great for exploring the city.

We enjoyed all aspects of the accommodation, from being centrally located, very comfortable room, regularly serviced. The bar and restaurant in site was very good. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.

Easy and friendly check in and check out. The hallway on the floor we were on smelled a bit damp, but the room didn’t. The room was clean, and the beds comfortable. Bathroom quite small given there were 4 of us - probably not the best room for 4 people. Breakfast was excellent; options to cover everyone, very attentive staff and good food. The kids enjoyed the rooftop pool and the complimentary pool towels was helpful. Great spot to enjoy some sun and downtime. Location was super handy and we would definitely stay again.

The property is fine for a bed for the night , however pretty tired and old feeling bathroom shower over bath is small and not ideal Overall needs a upgrade

Well initially the hotel was great then it went downhill after I had a shower and the door wouldn’t open and as I always take my Mobile into the bathroom I was able to call reception and they promptly sent staff up to try and get the door open but it proved to be too difficult so they told me to stand away from the door and they had to kick the door down so I could get out of the bathroom within a few minutes they duty manager came up and helped me pack everything up and moved me to another room and they provided me with free breakfast and a voucher to use at any of their hotels but I did find it amusing that the bathroom door broke

The outdoor pool is not heated although it is described as heated. There is no gym also contrary to the description.

It’s never a good start to a stay when you have to call down for maintenance within 60 seconds of walking into a room. The Mercure used to be about quality. Those days are gone. Whilst the sheets were clean, the room was stuffy which made sleep hard, the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned, tea and coffee hadn’t been restocked and the place had an air about it that it was passed its prime. The bed was so uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and polite. If looking for cbd accommodation there are better alternatives. I won’t be coming back.

Fantastic hotel, great location for exploring Brisbane. The breakfast area could do with a little more space. I would definitely stay here again.

Good facilities, pleasant efficient service

The room did not reflect the pictures used in the advertising. The furniture is very old and dated, including the blinds, carpets, couch and bathroom. In particular the shower grout had mould, and the bath was brown from aging with the enamel coming off. The shower heads are very low ( I am 165cm and only just fit - my husband did not). After complaining I could not bath my child in the bath we were moved to another room which was worse. The room was not clean, finding very visible dust on shelves and glassware and even someone's old food items high on a shelf. The fridge was broken and the TV volume did not work. Management were lovely, however could not fix the issues. They acknowledged the hotel was "old and dated". They tried their best to compensate with a bathmat to cover the enamel issues, free hot chocolates and car parking and even organising a treasure hunt for the kids. I am grateful to staff for trying, however for my children's first experience in a hotel I found it disappointing the pictures did not reflect the correct state of the rooms. A lot of maintenance is required to bring the hotel up to standard.
