Overall nice stay

Be Aware, this hotel is net to a major highway and train line so it is quite noisy. apart from that it is a no frills, clean and no hassle stay. It's rooms over a pub, pub is busy and has pub grub, off street parking. Bonus complimentary drink in the bar and 10% off meals in the pub. Would use again

Great staff and nicely renovated room... excellent food too.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Parking is available and free. WiFi wasn’t the best. Good shops opposite for breakfast/sandwiches etc as no breakfast offered at the hotel. Evening food on the Sunday was an excellent roast chicken. Only negative is that you can’t open a window and I do like fresh air.

Clean room friendly staff

We had a room on the highway side of the building and despite double glazing it was quite noisy. The air conditioning was noisy and didn’t work very well and the bed was very soft.

The room was tidy and comfortable. The staff friendly and accommodating.

Good for a short stay. Trains etc bery handy. The highway is quite noisy though.

Great room. Great staff. Great price. Clean. Good food. Room service great. Wifi however is not fast... its actually very very slow(0.26mbs on average 😭) Only reason i couldn't give 5 star. Mainly because they advertise fast and free wifi.. when its only the latter😅. Thanks for having me. Ill return when im next in Australia :)

Clean room, comfortable bed, wonderful staff

Loved the art deco ambience. Check in easy, offer to carry my bags up the stairs much appreciated, the free drink and meal discount persuaded me to eat-in and have an earlier night. With trains so convenient I will be back, rather than stay in town with much more exorbitant prices.

Had a wonderful stay for 2 nights My Queen room was immaculate - loved the private bathroom. Dinner downstairs or in my room was delicious and incredibly generous Great staff as well I’ll be back for sure !

The stairs up to the accommodation level were too steep for 80 year olds. especially one on a walking frame. But overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and the food was great

The shower head in the shower is incredible like a beautiful massage !!

Was a lovely place but quite noisy at night with the highway right there.

It’s a bar with rooms for crashing. Quite family-hostile. Basically on the highway so extreme traffic noise especially longhaul trucks flooring it up the hill. But can still hear the pounding music downstairs! Checkin is weird. Clerk/bartender gives you ticket for a drink at the bar then scolds your daughter that kids are not allowed anywhere except in the room or on the 3 flights of stairs up to the room —“its the law!” she barks at your sleepy family. Oh also sink is messed up. Bathroom has sign saying you will be fined if you have bathroom door open when showering. Lovely. How does a place like this get a decent review score? Wish you could rely on the reviews and score. Trust this one and spare yourself the experience .
