The suite itself was acceptable; however, several issues significantly affected our stay. Although a parking address was provided, it was not clearly stated that there is no on-site parking and that the car park is located approximately 100 metres away. As I had a sprained foot and multiple pieces of luggage, this was very inconvenient. If it had been clearly stated that parking is off-site, I would have reconsidered booking. The car park also does not allow in-and-out access. Each exit requires a new payment -$30 with coupon, which should be clearly disclosed. Reception staff repeatedly advised that weekend parking would cost approximately $11 for 24 hours, and we confirmed this several times. However, when exiting without a coupon, we were charged approximately $36 including credit card surcharge. The day before, the displayed rate was around $46 before applying the $30 coupon. This indicates the $11 figure was incorrect and caused unnecessary confusion. In addition, the washing machine in the suite was not functioning. One of the main reasons for booking the suite was access to laundry facilities during relocation, so this was disappointing. Clear and accurate information regarding parking arrangements and ensuring in-room facilities are operational would significantly improve the guest

The 2 bedroom apartments was great! Plenty of space, well kept and great views!

I always stay at Oaks when in Darwin. Secure 24 hour reception. Great location. Central to everything including Waterfront. Some nice places for good value breakfast nearby. There’s is a bit pricey for what you get by comparison. Staff are helpful and beds are sooo comfortable.

Spacious apartment, good facilities, especially useful /washer dryer, we werein a four week trip. Most staff very pleasant and helpful than others. Breakfast included was a plus.

The view from our apartment was outstanding. Room layout good as well. The free breakfast was ok - very basic, but you could upgrade by paying extra. Great location - easy to walk to the Waterfront or to catch the Hop on Hop off bus.

Great view although room was small. Fridge did not shut properly and tap leaked.

First room: no air con working; second room: person (s) already in the room; third room: ok. Leaving the property no access with the new room key to be able to get the gate open from the car park to be able to leave

Breakfast was good. My only significant complaint about the hotel concerns its deplorable wifi service, which was so bad that I did not use it after trying it. A member of the staff offered an alternative connection that did not work either.

Room was a spacious and the bay views were great...But there was a terrible mouldy smell in our room that was such a let down. There must be ongoing issues with some of the rooms at this hotel, as we later read reviews and realised others had complained about the horrible smell. We had free breakfast but very limited choices, eggs done only hard boiled and still in shell, so you had to peel your own eggs, no bacon included. We wouldn't stay here again.

Checking in was both pleasant and smooth. Staff were friendly. The 2 bedroom suite we got was great. AC was working great. Suite was both clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was a bonus. Bedroom and washroom amenities were more than adequate. Breakfast spread was good. Location was great. Walking distance to many spots. Loads of eateries/waterholes just short jaunts away. Recommended!

Great harbour view room, spacious with great air con and amenities. Short walk to shopping area and buses.

Staff were friendly and professional, my room on the 19th floor was perfect the view was amazing, the bed was clean and comfortable. Over all I highly recommend this hotel to anyone

Staff in restaurant were great and the food in the evening was very good, we returned Staff on reception varied, one was not helpful when we queried the restaurant closing time vs kitchen closing for orders which we had not been told about A notice is now available, but she seemed to think that telling us that is a world wide approach and we were uninformed was a good way of handling the situation Room was very good. A plate with left over food was seen in the general hallway, after it being still there the following day advised reception was eventually moved some time later Location of hotel- does not have many food options close by.

Ideal position. Clean room with a beautiful view.All staff we met were very polite and helpful. Bar and restaurant good, could have had a few more choices in restaurant.

I had a pleasant stay at Oaks Elan. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and places of interest. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, with a good-sized lounge area. The kitchen was well equipped, which made the stay even more convenient. I also enjoyed the balcony with views of the city/harbour. It was great that the balcony had a covered area with seating, so you could still sit outside and enjoy the view even when it was raining. The in-room washer and dryer were very convenient, and the toiletries provided were a nice touch. One small improvement would be to include a clothes airer or drying rack. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
