I had an amazing stay. The shuttle service, the room, the staff— ALL great. Everyone I encountered was so very polite and respectful, which I very much appreciate. The room was clean and spacious enough for me, there was a decently sized water jug for drinking (yay), perfectly working tv, freezing cold A/C to combat the heat / humidity, and beautiful balcony.
The only complaint I have is about the third-party restaurant. This obviously doesn’t reflect on the resort directly but it’s still important to note, especially if you’re a solo female traveler. After checking in and putting my bags down, the very first thing I did was walk over to the restaurant / bar to have a virgin piña colada and enjoy the view. I was looking forward to sitting in silence and decompressing a bit after traveling so long. But of course, that’s not always possible if a man is around and you’re a woman sitting by herself. I wasn’t even at the resort an hour before the bartender asked for my instagram and made small talk even though I was doing my best to give the hint that I didn’t want to be bothered…….
IYKYK. Frustrating and not conducive to a relaxing and peaceful environment, especially if I know I would be returning to that restaurant throughout the trip.
First thought / feeling when I wanted to go to the restaurant after that was that anxious anticipation of whether I’ll run into him or not. I want to emphasize that he wasn’t rude or overly aggressive or anything, but that’s not the point.

Beatiful ocean front property with a bar on the water. It's secluded about 30 mins out of town. So perfect for a quite lounge on the beach or swim in the ocean.

This place was wonderful. The rooms were excellent. The staff were very friendly and made us feel like family. The on-site restaurant food is amazing. We highly recommend this resort.

The hotel staff were fantastic and the view was beautiful. It was quite a ways from San Pedro town which limited dining options for us. The staff booked us a reservation at Mambo with a driver or boat pickup depending on the weather. The breakfast was good but very few options for dinner at the onsite restaurant. If I could do it again, I would rent a golf cart in town for the duration of our stay and book tours that picked us up at the resort dock.

Great place with nice beach and pool. Restaurant and bar on site. Great staff. Rooms include kitchenette with full size fridge. There is no competition for the loungers at the pool or beach. There is also a concierge onsite for arranging outings. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

We enjoyed our time at this hotel. The rooms and grounds are spotless. You almost seem like you have the resort to yourself even when it's full.
We had a full size fridge and stove top in our room. Our friends in the adjourning room had the same set up but their fridge was a bar size. The kitchen had the essentials to make tiny meals or breakfast in. The hotel supplied coffee/filters/sugar/salt & pepper. We did a couple of meals in the room and then ate out for the rest.
The staff at this resort are genuinely friendly and helpful.
The restaurant on site has a good menu but is not owned by the hotel. You have to settle your bill each time you're at the restaurant.
If you're looking for an active place this is not it. This place is very quiet and family friendly.
There was seaweed that washed up daily but the "crew" had it gone in no time. Note that this is also the windy side of the island. Most days are a nice breeze, other days it's a sand blaster.
Our only drawback was the location. It's a 40 min golf cart ride from San Pedro and 25 min to Secret Beach on bumpy roads. If you are travelling with little ones take note of that. Bring tie downs for your groceries etc.
There are places to buy food and eat out around the resort. Most are a 5-10 ride to find them.
We would return to this resort if back in the area because it's quiet, even when it's full there are beach chairs and staff being so nice.

Hate to write this, very disappointed.
The resort was a 30+ minute bumpy golf cart ride to most everything else on the island. The water at the beach was full of seagrass and it stank.
I woke up a couple mornings to roaches on the floor. One day they decided not to give me wash cloths when that swapped the linens, took an extra day to get them.
The staff was pleasant but not very eager to remedy concerns.
The restaurant service was terrible. Belize is a popular dive destination. The dive service I used picked me up at the resort dock at 8 or earlier. The restaurant didn't open until 8 and I had the breakfast plan with my stay. I tried to arrange for breakfast the night before but it was rarely ready when I was told it would be.
The day I left, at 8 am, I arranged for breakfast at 07:30. I arrived at 07:32 and was told my breakfast was almost ready. A couple came in and ordered, 15 minutes later got their food. The hotel called me to checkout and catch the shuttle, I explained I was waiting for food, I finally got my to go order at 07:52. The restaurant staff seemed unconcerned and sometimes bothered to serve customers.
Bartenders Will and Sheila were the bright spots for the stay and the view from the bar.

X’Tan Ha Resort was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The customer service was truly exceptional. The team was highly communicative, arranged transportation for us seamlessly, and remained extremely responsive throughout our stay. That level of care made a real difference.
Our room was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The entire property feels like a hidden gem. It is peaceful and quiet, and the guests we encountered were warm and friendly, which added to the relaxing atmosphere.
The resort is a bit removed from some of the busier parts of the island, but that actually contributes to its charm. If you rent a golf cart, getting to other activities and areas is easy and convenient.
One moment that really stood out was when I accidentally left my backpack in a transport van before my flight. I was honestly in panic mode, but the resort team stepped in immediately and was instrumental in helping me get it back. That level of support and care speaks volumes about their commitment to guests.
My only critique is that it would be helpful to have more food options available and open later in the evening. Aside from that, this resort is top notch. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, well-run place to stay.
