When we arrived we had to wait 10-15min before someone showed up to check us in. Once we entered the building the smell of cigaret was the first thing that came to our face. The room itself could have been ok if it wasn’t for the big lack of cleaning. Cap of toothpaste stuck in the sink, spots of something in the sink (blood or something reddish), stains here and there on the sheets and the bed covers. The perfume they put to cover the rest of the bad odours didn’t last very long and by the time we went to bed it was cigaret’s smell all over the room like it is in the hallway. Honestly if it’s what a room at 130$ gets you nowadays it’s very sad. Nothing against the 2 persons that checked us in and out but I would avoid this place unless you don’t have a choice.

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Not a place I would stay at again. Everyone has their standards and this was below mine. I tried to find another local place to stay but unsuccessful so stuck it out for the 2 nights. Ugh

Staff were great, we enjoyed

Hand rail going up and down the stairs was missing. Making it very unsafe. Carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. When we arrived one of the beds looked like it had been sat on. Needless to say, we ended up leaving and not staying the night. Even though we had paid.

Room was big and clean. Bathroom was clean and room was serviced everyday

Where to start.... there were 2 drywall patches on wall just inside the door. These were white unpainted 5 inch circles. A couple of grey paint drips on lower bathroom wall, and rust mark on floor by toilet. The toilet kept running continually. The flap inside was detoriated so needed replaced - you couldn't just jingle handle and hope it would resettle - heard sound all night. The toilet had rust stains. Rust marks on shower curtain rod and the holder of the towels. The sheets and towels were in ok condition and the bath tub was clean. There was a strange banging noise at 4 am for an hour. The manager was polite and had tried to give us a quiet room. Place used by truck drivers so a couple left at 530 am - diesel vehicles are loud. Not best neighbourhood, but not on a highway. I would not stay there again. On back of the little envelope for door key card were safety instructions: Always use deadbolt, secure valuables, report suspicious person or acts, never open door prior to verifying ID. Good tips, but made us think that security and safety are an issue at this hotel. Was very overpriced for what you get. I would NOT stay there again.

The room was clean. However the entire property was really gross. The hallways had debris and looked like they hadn't been vaccumed all weekend. The long term tenants were smoking in their rooms hanging out the windows. Parking was almost dangerous if you value your vehicle. Beds were hard as a rock and we actually got overcharged for our room in comparison to what we were supposed to pay, as well as the advertised cost for the weekend. The only plus was it was pet friendly (although the advertised pet fee was less then what we were actually charged.) and there is a decent retail plaza across the street.

We were not in the updated section. Our room was clean but dated. We found it easy to watch our own Netflix with the app on the tv which was beneficial. Staff were extremely helpful.

When booking through Expedia, we were not made aware that the hotel was undergoing major renovations. There was active construction during the day and access to rooms was limited or through the construction zone. The room itself had double beds that were very uncomfortable. Air conditioner and fridge were great This is our third night stay in a hotel and we haven’t quite figured out the smart TVs, which was the case in this room as well. Also no security lock on the door which felt a little unsafe. There was a traveller in a room close by, actively smoking cigarettes throughout the night, and no front desk staff to call between the hours of 8 PM and morning, so the sign said The staff were helpful and friendly, and tried to accommodate best they could under the circumstances, but overall, I can’t recommend staying here.

Property is clearly under renovations-so expectations need to reflect that. Staff was great, very helpful and polite There is no elevator or ramp to enter the building so accessibility is limited.

Little fussy to find entrance

Not a bad place for a quick visit, could use some updating and additional amenities but served the purpose of an overnight visit.

Walking in we were hit by a strong odor of a don't know what... moldy.. Mildew. Felt clammy. Husband refused to stay. Online booking said no refund so we were out$115. Had gone to Bridgewater for day surgery so had no choice but to pay for another hotel. Would never go again or recommend this hotel.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Which makes this review hard. But it’s necessary to warn other paying customers. The hotel itself is very old and rundown. I took pics but won’t share and embarrass the owners. My advice don’t waste your money. You will def be dissatisfied. Don’t say you weren’t warned. Nothing about the hotel is standard in a proper establishment. Owners need to do better. Pics online are deceiving. I hope owners dispute my claims. Then I will post pics from the stay very recently.

Deffintally an older hotel. Very dated 1970s Deffintally could smell it in the halls. Room was clean, that was the main thing for us. Staff was friendly. Didnt spend much time in the hotel besides sleep. It was a quite spot. Close to restaurants and shopping. Was a place to lay our head for the night.

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a budget, older hotel so expected aged facilities and that is the case. Room heating and hot water worked great, bed was comfortable and a great value stay.

Room 201. Door wouldn't shut. The staff must have known this when the room was cleaned. We didn't bother moving as we didn't leave the room. Otherwise, the room served it's purpose... a place to hang our heads close to an appointment the following day instead of driving in inclement weather from the city.

Friendly and efficient staff.

Breakfast was not free but we were given a 10 percent discount. We decided not to stay after a coffee but the staff didn't want to charge us for the coffee. Very nice of them!
