I'm afraid I cannot recommend this hotel. First, the WiFi is NOT secure, so no traveler is safe using the network to check a bank balance, for instance. Second, although my room did have (as advertised) TV, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot, nothing but the TV and fridge were plugged in BECAUSE THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH OUTLETS TO ACCOMMODATE THE REST. The cable to the cable TV box was shredded and not able to be attached to the wall. There was also no outlet for a computer or a phone charger at the desk, although there was an outlet in a bare corner where I ended up setting my phone on the floor with a charging cord. Furthermore, the hotel is located in a part of town where drunk people walk around shouting at all hours, and when I went to the parking lot to get something from my car (middle of the day) a small crowd of them followed me from under the hotel's roof overhang to ask if I had a cigarette and to offer me whiskey from a Sprite bottle. I wish I had stayed at a chain hotel.

The smelliest room I have ever stayed in. Bar near by has lots of people very drunk near the hotel, parking wasn't guaranteed. Poor communication about staying with pets and length of stay with them

Beautiful location and decently clean. The view from the window facing the river was so gorgeous. The beds were not the most comfortable but the sheets were clean and neat. With no air conditioning it does tend to get pretty warm if you are staying in the summer even with the window open. Unfortunately you can hear a lot from other rooms around you as well as if anyone walks through the halls. We stayed in a room on the second floor of this two floor hotel and somehow it sounded like there were people above us sometimes. The sushi restaurant attached is super convenient and very delicious. Unfortunately we had to push a little to get full room service as when we asked the first time all they did was give us new towels but after finally getting full room service the room was nice and tidy. The fridge keeps things very nice and cold with a small freezer which was a nice surprise. Staff was kind and helpful. Overall a nice place to stay with nice looking rooms in a beautiful location with trails, paths, parks, stores, and museums close by. Would definitely stay there again.

The building is in a good location. It's definitely very dated. Staff were great. Our big issue was that the room was incredibly hot. There is no a/c. The window opens, but the curtains block all the air that comes in.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I felt unsafe! The beds weren’t meant for sleeping if you get my meaning. Also no air conditioning. A real dive. Tuck your head and run!

The location of this hotel is ideal. The state of disrepair that it is in makes it a poor choice to return to. From holes in walls, to evidence of smoking in the room, to a broken entrance door, it is not a welcoming place. The staff were courteous and helpful, but the building maintenance has been neglected. It is disappointing to see a place that there is no pride left.

Property is convenient but very old and worn. They need to do updates especially in the rooms. Walls dirty, bathrooms old taps leak need new tub surround. We will not stay here again

There rooms are low quality and need a lot of maintenance or remodeling. The first room was given to us, but no outlets around the beds, and the light between the beds was not even plugged in or working because of no outleta.The second room had no plug outlets around the beds either and the light between the beds was not plugged in and as well. It took a third room for us to get with plugs and light's working. The staff was good at working with us to get a room with outlets and lights that work. There's no breakfast offered at this facility. And outside a lot of homeless and run down stuff. And was offered drugs, as well a blocked around the facility. Also was on the 2nd floor and the window was open, and during the night, you could hear people fighting below our window.

Very run down and dingy place. Definitely a fire hazard as well. Had extension cords running all over the place. To turn on light in room had to move nightstand. Caulking coming off in shower. Just a very dirty place. No parking!!! Shared a lobby with a night club that was loud. As soon as we got out of the vehicle people were yelling and harassing us. So makes me think not a good neighborhood. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Room was clean. Laundry was convenient. However the room was insanely hot, not warm, hot. It’s the middle of June, and there is no A/C or heater, understandable, but not even opening the window helped. Everyone woke up dehydrated :( Everything else was good.

Easy check in, helpful staff. Some transient activity on the property, but quiet and respectful. Room was very clean and spacious. Parking is a little tight if you're driving anything bigger than a pickup. Good value.

The property is very long in the tooth. It is in desperate need of a face lift. We stayed 2 nights (prepaid) on each end of a tour we were taking out of Whitehorse. The first room (double) was surprisingly quite nice, nice bed linens and very comfortable beds. The bath room was less than desirable. Neither my husband nor I took showers. Had our room not been prepaid for our return stay I would have cancelled our reservation. The second room had one bed (our choice) but the room was musty smelling, the bed linens were definitely not as nice as our first stay. The floor in the room squeaked when you walked on it and the bed felt like it had bed springs. It also squeaked with every movement. Once again the bathroom was less than desirable so showers were not taken. When asked by a local where we were staying we were told that she had heard good and bad things about the hotel and she hoped we would lucky enough to have a good experience. We chose this hotel because of the positive reviews. There were only a couple of negative ones. Having stayed there I have no idea how someone could give it 5 stars. I don’t usually give reviews but for this hotel I feel I need to. There are many other hotels in Whitehorse, one of which we stayed in prior to the start of your (booked by the tour folks) which was very nice. Sorry, but I can’t in good conscience recommend this hotel. Front staff were very friendly and helpful.

If you’re looking for cheap and cheerful this is the place for you. Don’t expect perfect facilities . The advert shows a dining room but there are no dining facilities. The rooms are clean but basic with microwave and coffee machine. Bathroom fittings poor quality with cracked tiles and mouldy sealant. You get what you pay for.

Tuff area of town. Enjoyed the river view. Room was fine.

Shower surround was linoleum and now sealed. Bathroom floor was soggy and moldy under flooring. Run down building but the sheets were clean.

Only amenity i saw was an ice machine but the positive side of things, they actually had more coffee condiments out then just for 1 day. Someone thought it was a good idea to use sheet vinyl as a wall surround for the shower. Never seen that before, but anything can happen when you claim to be Canada's most affordable motel
