We spent extra to stay at a Fairmont Gold floor. There may have been a $50/night premium, but we got a larger room, private check-in at the Fairmont Gold floor on the 9th floor, snacks during the day and evenings and a great breakfast in their private lounge. The Gold floor is worth the cost and makes this grand hotel experience all the more grand. One warning to guests: Valet parking is $85/night! Parking at the adjacent parkade on your own will save you considerably.

Staff very efficient and friendly. Check-in was breeze. One bedroom suite was very roomy which I wanted. I was surprised bathroom was quite small for a one bedroom suite and I was expecting a combination tub/shower as was listed but it was a walk-in shower. Overall a very nice accommodation. Location in the city is exceptional which is why I will return back to this hotel when I stay in Vancouver.

The room was very small. There were stains on the carpet, the bathroom was incredibly small, and the pool area was terrible. It was under construction and the pool lining was not finished. It was like a loose plastic wrap. Really disappointed for the price in comparison to better hotels. Worst fairmont I’ve been to. I did my research beforehand and found it misleading. The website says that the pool had been renovated. This is misleading and disappointing for my family. We could have stayed at the Sutton place, pan pacific or fairmont waterfront for similar money. I would have complained at check out but the line up was so long. How will you address this?

Hotel location was great. Staff was super friendly, rooms were spotless.
My disappointment was the sauna and hot tub were not operational. I booked this property based on what was listed as available. I could have booked a different property on vrbo had i known the hotel was under construction at the time.
