I stayed at four Fairmont hotels during my trip to Canada, and this one was the least satisfactory. The check-in was slow due to inexperienced staff, and the person who checked us in was unfriendly and unprofessional, changing our reserved room to a smaller one on a lower floor. The room was cramped, and the shower gel container was empty, indicating poor preparation. Although the housekeeper responded quickly, this oversight was disappointing. Overall, this hotel did not meet the standards I expect from Fairmont.

The location is great. The room was so warm 24 degrees and not comfortable. The air conditioning not working. Not able to sleep it was so warm. The beds are uncomfortable. The hotel rooms need a remodel. The Nespresso in our room was not working. I asked for a replacement and that did not happen. Went to get coffee from the restaurant $18 for two drip coffee to take up to my room. Probably would not stay at this property again. It’s tired and not worth the price.

Found a pill bottle with medications in it on the floor (previous guest). Dangerous with a toddler with us. Also no AC in the whole hotel!! Room temp was 24.5 at night. First night they gave us a fan, didn’t offer us the portable AC unit which I had to ask for second night. Pool has no shallow end for kids. Hot tub was out of service. Overall dated hotel and badly in renovations. Next time will look at other nearby hotels.

Despite checking in early, our room was not ready in time, resulting in us being late for an event. However, staff were very apologetic and offered us free drinks in the lounge.
