good room. good for walk

We stay at The Grand multiple years for our anniversary. This was our 16th anniversary. And it was fantastic as always. Kevin the mixologist in Fathom always makes incredible drinks and provides top notch service. The kids were disappointed the pool and hot tub maintenance was extended this year. But this can happen.

Everything was excellent except for the tv ( it wasn’t a very clear picture).

Our room lock was broken therefore we couldnt leave. We called front desk and they sent a maintenence person. He didn't know how long it would take to fix. After 30 mins, I went downstairs to ask front desk. We were unhappy as we had a scheduled appointment which was over 200$. The front staff instead tried puttinf the blame on us, saying we could've left or came to them earlier. We had our valuables in the room, how could we leave our room unlocked. Unfortunately we missed our appointment and they couldn't reschedule us. I had told the manager about our loss, and she's like we've upgraded you. When we went to the new room, yes the furniture was renovated, but it was smaller and the view wasn't as good. We spent over 300$ for the 2 nights here and missed our 200$ appointment. Was not worth it. The manager knew we were unhappy and still didn't try to do anything else.

Courteous staff. Spacious, comfortable suite with a lovely harbour view.

Hotel was great, 3 stars because pool was closed. I booked the hotel for pool since I have 3 kids

Front desk not being direct as to what is available. Poor TV service. No acess to CNN or Bloomberg Chanel.

I stayed here from Dec 26 to Dec 28 and found a bedbug in my room. What concerned me most was how lightly this seemed to be treated and the lack of a clear protocol. When I first called, the response was simply asking if I wanted to switch rooms. An inspection wasn’t mentioned until I asked, and I had to request basic steps like spray for my belongings and guidance on what I should do. For laundry/decontamination, I was initially told to find a laundromat myself and submit receipts, which meant spending my vacation time managing the situation. I had to push back and request that the hotel provide support directly, which should have been offered from the start. The whole experience was stressful, especially with the worry of bringing a bedbug home. A refund for the stay was promised, but it has now been about a month and communication has been slow with long gaps between responses. It feels like this is being dragged out instead of resolved promptly.

The room was tired and the decor not great. The food from room servicer was terrible. I would not stay there again,

The pool was closed which was not advertised on expedia, that's the reason we booked the hotel. The rooms are no way comparable to a 4 star, everything is old very old. The hairdryer had glitter on it and was broken, towels we so old and had so much lint.

Everything about the experience was top notch. The staff was amazing, the room was beautiful. 100 stars!! Perfect!!
