There was no hot water in my room, i had to take an ice cold shower in the morning. Staff supposedly knew about it when I checked in :(

Lovely and clean room. Staff are very helpful and pleasant.

The staff were lovely and the building is beautiful. However our room was small, overlooking a flat roof with the noisy kitchen extractor fans blowing smelly air from early in the morning to late at night. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner that were attached to the wall just squired a pea size liquid on each pump which was frustrating. For what it is I felt it was overpriced

I am not usually one to write reviews, but my recent stay at Hatherly Manor in Gloucester compelled me to make an exception. Our entire wedding experience was exceptional, thanks in large part the event manger , Gayle. She transformed our worries into confidence, handling every request as if with a magic wand—all done gracefully, with a constant smile and great sense of humor. Every one of our guests had something wonderful to say about Gayle and her team. On behalf of my wife and me, we offer a very big thank you.

Room was very nice, spa was excellent, breakfast was exceptionally good. Only thing negative I can say is that the bed was slightly lumpy but apart from that a good stay.

Lovely hotel. Very nice, clean and comfortable room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spa was nice and simple but got busy after check-in time. Food in restaurant was delicious and service was great. Communication was amazing - had questions before our stay and was answered in quick time and kept in touch about private events going on. There were two events on when we stayed, a wedding and charity event, but did not disrupt our stay. A nice relaxing time was what we wanted and we definitely got that.

The room was as expected, luxurious and comfortable and meet our needs. The room was exceptionally clean.

Lovely spa and hotel.

Great hotel but they fobbed me off with some shop brought Lemon Meringue than the real desserts that everyone else got.

We had a really pleasant stay overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and although we experienced a couple of minor issues, the staff resolved them immediately. Everyone was friendly, professional, and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options, and the spa facilities were lovely. The only downside was the soundproofing. We stayed for two nights in an executive room. The first night was quiet, but on the second night our neighbours were quite noisy, and we could hear almost everything from the next room, which kept us awake. If you’re a light sleeper, it may be worth booking one of the luxury rooms instead, as apparently they offer better sound insulation.

Staff were really friendly

Room was extremely simple and quite small. I think I was expecting more from online images and exterior of building. Staff were friendly enough, and sorted out an issue with our room efficiently. The bar area was nice and staff were courteous.

Excellent, large room with a large,comfy bed. Excellent breakfast with a large choice served by friendly and cheerful staff. Our children enjoyed the spa facilities.

Staff were great. Room was a little small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to order. Evening menu is a little pricey. I didn't realise there was a gym, as it isn't advertised on the website. Would have been good to know.

We stayed in room 217. Bed needs replacing as well used. It was risen at the bottom & had dips in middle. This resulted in a very poor night's sleep for me & my wife. I did mention this to receptionist in morning while checking out.

Room nice, very dusty lights, the double bed was two pushed together so big gap in the middle which was uncomfortable. The room next door was noisy you can hear them and whenever they used the bathroom so sleep was poor. Never informed about breakfast , which was poor there were used footware in the wardrobe

Overall, our stay was average. My wife and I stayed for three days to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that affected our experience. The bathtub drain was extremely slow and did not drain properly. There was also a heating issue in the room. it did not work during our entire stay. We informed the staff and were told it was working fine, and although we requested a repair, no one came to fix it, so we stayed without heating for all three days. Additionally, the pillows were very flat and uncomfortable, which made sleeping difficult.

Beautiful hotel, spacious room, comfortable bed and very clean and sparkly bathroom. Didn’t stay long enough to experience the restaurant and spa, but will definitely return

Excellent friendly staff lovely room great location

I love this hotel and have been twice now and will return again. The decor is lovely. The spa is delightful. The only downside is that the walls are paperthin so you can hear everything and the spa is often far too busy.
