Kimpton CLOCKTOWER HOTEL, an IHG Hotel

This is an incredibly average hotel for the price point (£325 for one night). The room was up two flights of stairs from a lift - which was not advertised. The room itself was somewhat tired and basic, with poorly thought out design (e.g. the rainfall shower head was not high enough for someone standing at 5 foot 8 to use, the bedside locker placement meant you couldn't open the wardrobe). Whilst there are areas in the hotel that are nice, this definitely sits in the category of all style, no substance and, at the price point, we will not stay again given the much better options in Manchester.

Breakfast was great from the buffet. Lots of choice and good quality. Enjoyed the bar the night for of the stay. Great DJ playing music that was my type of sounds. Cocktails a little expensive but they're a happy hour with cheaper cocktails from six to seven.

I had a really good time. Really nice hotel.

Absolutely lovely hotel every corner is thought of interiors wise and the rooms are lovely and very well equipped. Friendly staff that are always happy to help and tasty breakfast in a lovely setting. Wish we could stay here longer to make the most of the hotel.

Ett otroligt vackert hotell med anor i centrala Manchester. Gångavstånd till Ethiad om man gillar fotboll. 20 meter bardisk och bra tryck alla helgkvällar. Inget barnhotell men väl anpassat för vuxna par och buissness med trevlig och mycket hjälpsam personal

Good quality large room which was well appointed. Excellent breakfast with good choice. Would recommend & definitely stay there again.

Excellent experience all round

Our main complaint was that we could clearly hear the people in the room next door. Otherwise the hotel was fine.

The building is too old, but it’s been reformed.

Monumental iconic building and outstanding in every respect. Next door to Oxford Road Station and in the centre of Manchester. Well worth the price.

Staff was very good and helpful, they made me feel as good as they can within their power and was very friendly. Location was ideal and very much central to everything as you can go everywhere within 20 mins of walk. Room was clean and had everything you would expect from a place like this. I can whole heartedly recommend this place 😊

Nice unique hotel, very nice room, maybe a bit small but nice, clean and well equipped. Got some complementary snacks and the breakfast was also 5 star! Will gladly come back!

Positives were that the building inside is absolutely beautiful and the room was incredible. Loads of space. Social gathering with free drinks was a nice touch. All internal areas of the hotel were amazing. Negatives were that the outside of the building was covered in scaffolding. Not nice to turn up to that when you’ve paid so much for a room. If we’d have known we would have gone with another option which was the Midland or malmaison. Would have appreciated prior warning that work is being carried out. Also, despite the fact that we paid for 3 people, the room was only prepped for 2, 2 cups, 2 robes and slippers, 2 lots of snacks etc. Double beds are also very small. Basic double and not queen/kingsize. Breakfast coffee was awful. For the price of the stay a latte or cappuccino would have been nice instead of lukewarm filter coffee with cold milk.
