Staff were helpful. Comfortable. Annex was quiet. Breakfast was good Room seemed to lack central heating. Radiators seemed to be off and electric heater was supplied.

Nice hotel but the shower wasn’t the cleanest with some hairs on the floor, there wasn’t hot water and the WiFi didn’t work

Clean hotel and friendly staff

Room was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely grounds and great breakfast.

Shower was basic, and it was not easy to comtrol water temperature. Restairant mediocre.

Everything from check in to check out was excellent. Room was clean, if a bit small but suited what we needed for 2 nights. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Place is a maze but lots of quaint areas to sit and relax with loads of local books around. We didn't use the leisure facilities but they looked lovely.

Bar staff where excellent

Staff were very friendly & professional. Would have given it an excellent if the Jacuzzi was working as we really wanted to use that but instead used other facilities such as swimming pool & sauna both of which were spotless & great.

Beautiful hotel which predates the doomsday book. Customer service was very good, breakfast was lovely. We had a problem with our room and they moved us to a new room within half an hour. Lovely grounds of 20 acres, great for a morning walk. Highly recommend.

The hotel is lovely and staff very nice and helpful. To he breakfast was a bit cold and not the buffet but I survived, plenty of it and coffee fine with non milk alternatives.

The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately another guest had some very yappy dogs in their room who barked at the slightest movement. This wasn’t ideal particularly late at night when trying to sleep. Breakfast was plentiful. Help yourself buffet. Plenty of hot options. Staff could be more engaged with customers.

Nice and clean room, comfortable beds and a warm welcome

Awful. Put us in a room next to a renovation. Builders constantly working until 6pm and until started again at 7am. We spoke to reception and they promised the builders wouldn’t start work until 11am. Awful experience- the hotel could be excellent but there are too many staff doing very little. We waited at the bar for 25 mins with numerous staff watching us and not even acknowledging us. Never again.

The room and staff

A beautiful hotel with historic features. We stayed in the house which is quiet and we had a view of the fields. The swimming is very clean and the jacuzzi was relaxing we had the whole pool to ourselves, it has a small sauna and steam room which needs to be warmer. The Reception had a beautiful Christmas tree and the bar area is relaxing with a lovely sitting room. The staff work hard and make you feel welcome. The room was spacious with sash windows, no snacks provided like the other group hotels we have visited. The floor boards in the room need fixing but it’s an old building. We visited Millets farm to see the Christmas lights, would recommend. Abingdon is a nice town with a mix of independent shops and top high street brands. This is our second visit and we would return. Who doesn’t love the Cotswolds ❤️
