A 1970s office block converted into a hotel. Rooms are huge by UK standard, both the room and equipment are very clean. Staff is friendly and experienced. The main complaint would be the WiFi - averaging 100-500kb/s, which is slow even by 2010 standards. Certainly need a replacement. Elevators only stop on even floors, so you would need to walk 1/2 floor up or down to the 1F reception or room (uneven floor for me). Elevator is very fast and there are 3 of them, so no issues at all. The nearby Eccles Shopping Centre is being redeveloped, so it can get quiet at night. Large supermarket just opposite to the hotel. The Eccles town centre and train/tram station in around 5 minutes.

Basically ok for short stay. I checked in after midnight, staff was still around. But there were some people in the corridor slammed and knocked the door, probably for other rooms, felt a bit unsafe. And there was strong and over fragrance in the room that lasts forever. other things were all good.

The room was clean, the staff friendly, but what impressed me most, was the fact that the room was cleaned on our second day. When we walked into our room the night after an exhausting day out, it was marvellous to have a clean room. The upgrade was also special. We will definitely visit again.

The reception area and bar are on the second floor and are delightful. However the corridors and stairwells were shabby, dingy and unwelcoming. The room was very basic but OK. All clean apart from the windows, where the frames were covered with mould and dirt. I wiped some off with a piece of tissue, so it is neglect of cleaning rather than staining. The mattresses were incredibly uncomfortable and lumpy which sadly meant it wasnt a great night's sleep, although it was very quiet with little noise from outside or inside the building. The car park has plenty of spaces and is very reasonable at £2 per 24 hours. On my second night I arrived back at 2am to the main doors locked and no way to contact anyone- I tried calling reception with no answer and knocking on the door with no response. Thankfully another guest came down to smoke and let me in. Some kind of sign or doorbell would be useful if the desk staff have to step away, so guests arent left standing outside in the cold in the middle of the night.

Easy check in. Ample parking. Comfortable, clean quiet room.

Better then I thought. The hall way and stairs are in need of renovation. But the rooms are nice pretty up to date and clean.

Staff great. Springs in mattress made the bed uncomfortable, new mattress needed. Breakfast lukewarm which was not as it usually is, at 08.20.

Clean room. Convenient location. Bed not great. Some disturbance from neighbouring rooms. Heating and windows need modernization.

The heating was not working, it was freezing cold. We tried to send messages to the property via expedia but no response, also tried to reach reception they said they will come to inspect nobody reached out nor was the portable heater was provided promised by the receptionist.

Despite paying for breakfast I was informed the kitchen was closed so there would be no breakfast. No discount provided. The rooms were fine albeit minimalistic and the beds weren’t the comfiest, shower was the only saving grace. Served a purpose but wouldn’t return.
