We checked in late friday afternoon and the male and female on the check-in desk were excellent. They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was perfect. We also prebooked breakfast, which again was excellent value, great quality and plentiful. The hotel is central for all of the nearby attractions. We will return here again and would highly recommend.

We have stayed here many times it is ideally located for our purpose of visiting Wells Glastonbury and Street We will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

Great family weekend location

Good location if you want to visit the caves. The room was ok for 3 stars.

This was perfect for an overnight stay. Clean, 24 hour reception, comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Car park was free and right outside. No issues at all. Very good value.

Forced to give card details at reception, and I’m quoting here..”in case I broke something or caused damage” Talk about being the insulted! Very poor menu. I’ll not be back.

Only on a work trip, so didn’t really get to see much. Room was lovely and comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you team Wookey 😊

Lovely location with Wooky Holes on the doorstep of the Hotel. Room was basic but clean and had everything you'd want fir an overnight stay. Lovely grounds for a walk. Only negative was bath taps had hot water, but the shower had only had cold water. The mixer thermostat was obviously faulty. Talking to other guests, this seemed to be a common fault as others said their shower only had cold water too.

My wife and I were visiting her brother and family in Wells, the location of this hotel for Wells, Glastonbury, Avebury and Stonehenge was fantastic...close to all of them. The room was same set up as Travelodge/Premier Inn but MUCH more space in the room, more room around the beds etc. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, good choice and good value for money. We would highly recommend and will probably stay here again next time we go. Just a few things that could have made it better.....1: the weather was hot when we were there, each bed had a light duvet which was a bit too warm for me and there was no single cotton sheet as an alternative that would have been better for me. 2: The bath is VERY slippy when wet, there is no rubber bath mat in the room but you can ask for one...good idea to ask for one in reception when you arrive. 3: the curtains were not very good at keeping sunlight out....blackout curtains/blinds would have been better.

Staff were great, room was tidy. Only downside was the breakfast. Wife is gluten free and although the breakfast was labelled really well……they cross contaminated the breakfast items at the server. The chef was really helpful and cooked a separate breakfast but the cross contamination should never had happened in the first place. Putting gluten sausages with bacon to keep warm is a no no.

The staff were really helpful and accommodating. The room was clean enough, but there was a chip in the bath and a few cobwebs around. It was very basic and the TV was very small for the size of the room. We only ended up eating in the restaurant on 1 day, as we did not feel that there was a lot of choice and due to the size of the room it was very noisy and you could not have a conversation with whoever you were with. I understand about not taking drinks etc outside, but I feel that they should install a seating area outside to accommodate that especially where the weather is so warm and it would not be so noisy and you could have a conversation. We were not very impressed with the breakfast and did not feel that it was value for money.

Lovely place but we had a noisy bathroom fan that was on permanently including all night. Not allowed to take drinks outside without a plastic glass and the good beer had run out anyway so had to have cider or their Witches Piddle brew.

Do not stay in the tower suite - they do not clean the room before you check in. Bugs in the bed, on the floor, up the walls. You have to keep the light off to stop the bugs swarming you. Hairs in the bed. Room is like a sauna and way too hot to sleep in, regardless of how many fans the hotel gave you. The shower handle also gets stuck so the water can run into the bedroom. Normal rooms are ok - better than a hot, dirty room with bugs.

Had a lovely time at the Wookey hole hotel. It's the second time in 2 years that we have been. Situated next to Wookey hole itself, just a stone's throw away. The place was spotless and clean. Staff were friendly enough. No problem parking. The restaurant now offer a buffet breakfast service for breakfast. How ever I much preferred having breakfast made to order, as no fried eggs only scrambled. Also I preferred it freshly cooked and delivered to your table. Not keen on the buffet breakfast personally. Other than that, it's set in such a lovely idyllic picturesque part of Somerset. Altogether very good value for money. Speaking of money, the hotel lacks a cash machine and you need to travel a couple of miles to get to one.

Fabulous, comfortable and clean! Great breakfast what more could you want?!

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the room was spacious and comfortable.One negative point: the bathroom extractor fan wasn't working and the shower wasn't handheld, but fixed to the wall, causing a lot of splashing.

Very spacious rooms, a lot of privacy offered, good showers, good Wi fi I specifically want to name Diane or whoever the staff lady was evenings of Thursday and Friday night June 4th and 5th - so so kind and understanding - I needed soya milk and to stay and work online outside check out time and she was very helpful. All staff are exceptionally helpful and kind Great parking capacity, wonderful surroundings
