Very friendly staff especially receptionist. Lovely bedroom recently decorated. Bathroom needs painted. Looks like hotel is going through a phased refurbishment.

Chilly room next to a noisy road and above a noisy hall. Being overcharged for food and drinks, menu prices did not match receipt prices and food was only okay. Music was incredibly loud which made it very difficult to have a conversation. Carpark spaces were unbelievably tight. The only good things I could say were that the interior decor was lovely and the bed was comfy, some staff members were nice.

Good location staff v friendly. One downside bedroom was quite cold - did ask at reception

Absolutely no interaction from check in or check out person at desk..no 'thanks for staying 'or 'have a good day'. Had to change rooms as what I booked wasn't available. Had to take 2 separate rooms...both cold. Met lovely waitress when we had dinner in bar

Noisy room above reception, heating broken (room like a sauna), smelled like smoke and the food was inedible at breakfast. Moved to a better room for night 2 as I was ready to leave. Expected a refund if I’m honest as it was a terrible experience

We visited the Newgrange while on a work trip but decided to book an extra night as it was also our anniversary. I checked before arriving that there was somewhere to park my work van. When I arrived we realised that there was no way I was going to fit the van into their tight underground car park despite inquiring, I had to find street parking in a residential area and walk for 20 minutes with all our bags to the hotel. Which wasn’t ideal. When we checked in I told them it was for our anniversary (I booked the nicest room available online) but mentioned it again at check in should an upgrade be available. They commented that the hotel wasn’t full and that was the best room available, yet they put us in a room right above the reception door and bar. Probably the loudest room in the hotel. The room was like a sauna despite it snowing outside we had to open the windows the entire night as we were told the heating was broken and not cooling down. Probably the worst nights sleep I’ve ever had at a hotel. I had to keep going outside to cool down because it was uncomfortably warm. Spoke to the manager the next morning after breakfast (which was absolutely disgusting) and within seconds offered us an upgrade to a room at the back of the hotel. I didn’t have high hopes as all I could smell was smoke, but the room was lovely. I assumed we would be refunded for the first night but when checking out I was told we got the upgrade instead which wasn’t communicated to us.

Great room

Breakfast was finished very early (day after new yrs) at 10am but staff were very accommodating and allowed us having it slightly later as were just removing it when we arrived to the dinning area. Much appreciated

Everything that you could want in a hotel is available in the New Grange hotel. Truly a lovely place to stay. The food was excellent so we dined in the hotel all three evening's. I would totally recommend this hotel if you needed somewhere to stay in navan

Could do with making the rooms more modern

Bar had music, we danced. Service was very good in the bar. Parking was very tight.

Bedroom itself was superb! Bathroom definitely needs to be updated. Peeling silicone sealant around bath and sink. Wood in bathroom old and scraped. Cannot fault bedroom. Plenty of sockets etc. service was amazing! Staff very polite and friendly

Nice hotel. Clean but room we had was in need of updating the bathroom especially. Food was good. Carpark terrible too compact for bigger car and alloy wheels easily damaged
