This is a solid hotel if you’ve been to Mexico before and know what to expect. My goal here is to give real, practical info. The location is hard to beat—less than a five-minute walk from the ferry. We arrived about two hours early with no expectation of early check-in, but Airan got us into our room at no extra charge. Great start. We booked a king bay view room through Expedia. The lobby is clean and airy, with a small pool behind the front desk—cool (not warm), but perfect after a hot day. Ask for a pool towel. The room was clean and modest, with minimal seating but functional. The mini fridge was very cold (froze our drinks—win). The balcony is small but usable, with a great bay view and a peek at Centro. Sliding doors block street noise well. Storage is solid with a closet, drawers, and counter space. Outlets are only on one side of the bed, so bring a charging brick. The bathroom is spacious with a walk-in shower; pressure mainly supports the rain head and hot water can vary. Towels are a bit worn but clean, and overall cleanliness was very high. A/C is excellent—muy frío. This is not a new hotel or a resort—no frills, no breakfast—but the staff is friendly and sweet. No coffee in the room, so plan ahead. Smart TV included. At times it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, which added to the charm.

BAHIA Choc Chi stay was just okay for the hotel conditions. The floors were quite dirty, we had to ask to have the floors cleaned several time. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The towels were very old and very few to be had. On the other hand, the location was excellent, the A/C was excellent and the staff were friendly.

I wanted a relaxing island trip, yet we were on the main drag with lots of traffic and massive exhaust smells while sitting on the deck.

Front staff Jonathan was SUPER helpful and made the stay so much better! Location and cleanliness was great! Highly recommend

The rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms on higher floors have great sunset views of the bay. The location near the ferry terminal makes catching a cab or the bus easy if you're not planning to rent a golf cart. It's within walking distance to the Malecon and some good bars and restaurants on the south side of Centro. It's about a 10 minute walk to Playa Centro and 15 to Playa Norte. My only criticisms are very small and feel like first world problems. There were no outlets near the bed for charging phones. The latch on the bathroom door faced the wrong way, so the wind blew the door open the first couple days. That in turn made the room door noisy from the wind. If the bathroom door had stayed closed or had it not been so windy, it wouldn't have been an issue. There was some damage/wear to the comforter. We didn't use the pool. It's small and cold because it's shaded and doesn't get much sun. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would recommend the hotel if you're looking for an affordable, no-frills stay.

Minibar in the room. The best shower! Good bed. Close to the ferry, just cross the street. Just 5-10 min walk to the beach. 3 minutes to the Main Street.

Trato amable, y accesibilidad de la recepcionista. Muy bien trato.

Rooms were sufficient. Never received a set of towels but got beach towels to make up the difference. Location is great. Price is great. Beds were not comfortable. Front counter staff was great. Cleaning staff not so much. I would stay again on short notice. Inexpensive and sufficient are the best decisions
