Perfect journey

Pretty worn down in places, AC in the room not working. Elevator out of order. Nice and helpful staff but very simple breakfast.

AC is poor when outside is hot, elevator not working, cleaners forget to take away garbage and put new towels

Great location next to the Rijskmuseum and Van Gogh museum. We appreciated being able to head in multiple directions for food and activities. Overall, the rooms were small and one of our rooms had a smell the entire stay. The shower and sinks were very poorly designed. Water got everywhere when you showered or used the faucet. We needed a lot of towels to be replaced daily. Good for a first stay but we wouldn't stay here again.

Perfect for walking and seeing museums.

On a "Value for Money" basis this hotel is dreadful, but it is probably not alone, so I really urge anyone travelling to Amsterdam: Buyer BEWARE: 1. The rooms are very small (eleven square metres, this is less than 4m x 3m AND it includes the space taken up by the bathroom) 2. The bathroom shower leaks all over the bathroom floor - You have to ENSURE the shower head points away from the door) 3. The bathroom shower is tiny and the door HAS to open inward, which makes entry and exit cumbersome. 4. The bathroom sink tap extends across the centre of the basin, which prevents you from washing your face effectively 5. There is NO wardrobe 6. The hangars provided are on a rail that does NOT allow the hangars to be level, you clothes are on an ange 7. The clothes hangars are not enclosed 8. The TV remote or TV did not work - Reported on Day-2 and not fixed by Day-5 when we left 9. The complimentary bottles of water were nowhere to be seen 10. The breakfast was derisory and the layout was all over the place - Fried or poached eggs not available - Cereals, plus two types of cheese, one sliced meat, very thin cooked bacon and scambled eggs, plus cooked little sausages - Variety of bread and toasting facility (This is where the knives and forks are. The spoons are in the main room over by the cereals) - Drinks: Fruit juices x 5 in a side area and the tea / coffee in the main room (tea spoons with the fruit juices) Seriously consider a hotel 2/3 miles away and use the savings on Taxis

Hotel was clean, nicely put together. My only concern is you must carry up your suitcases 6-8 fairly deep steps to get to reception.

Great location, staff is great, rooms are tiny, showers floods the tiny bathroom, great breakfast. Overall a good choice if you don’t spend a lot of time in the room

Sauberes Zimmer, aber sehr klein

We found the staff friendly but were extremely disappointed in the room. We booked this hotel based on pictures of the room in the category we had chosen. However instead of the bright, airy charming room in the pictures (with large windows and beautiful views) we had a small dark room with only one window that one could see out of, and it was placed high on the wall. When I explained to the front desk that this did not resemble the room I booked I was brushed off. Upon checking out, I heard another lady express the same disappointment for exactly the same reason. She, too, was brushed off. A classic case of bait and switch. Additionally, there was very little water pressure in the shower and it took a long time to get warm water - it never got really hot, That being said, the bed was comfortable and the location was terrific.

The room was clean and located in a great area. The rooms where the typical small space but if you plan to be out and about it works out great. Easy to get everywhere and quiet at night. Air conditioner worked great too.

Great hotel. While the rooms were small, they were well appointed and exceptionally clean. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Everything walkable, nearby tram and train options. Highly recommended!

Great breakfast room, good sized room for 3 people, quiet, close to a lot of the city amenities

Loved the location! We were able to walk to everything the city has to offer. The staff were extremely helpful and inviting. Would stay here again!
