Comfy beds, clean room, staff great, breakfast was good too.

Clean room and big area. The water pressure was a bit slow.

Didn’t realise the whole hotel is covered in construction. We stayed during a windy night and it felt like the wall was going to fly off! The mirror was shaking. Might have been handier if the dog friendly rooms were on the ground floor - being on the third floor wasn’t the most ideal.

The entire building is surrounded by scaffolding at the moment. It is a much dated hotel with a lot of touch ups needed. But I can see the charm in it and it was certainly busy. It’s very central and directly opposite the pier.

Good choice of breakfast items and restocked quickly. Staff attentive and removing your used plates promptly. Good value for money

The hotel is so old and was falling apart. The pool was in a sketchy basement with the lining of the pool coming up and bubbling. Our room had a shower with only hot water, springs poking out of the mattress and a toilet that didn't Flush. DO NOT stay here it's awful. s

I travelled 4 hours I’d booked pet friendly room The manager said I could not stay there as I had two dogs Nobody asked me how many dogs I was taking It was awful I was in tears

Staff and breakfast were excellent. Beware that some rooms can only be accessed by steep stairs down from ground floor, or by walking right round the roads to the car park at the back.

Bathrooms are not fit for purpose and in desperate need of refurbing

There was scaffolding all over the hi.otel we were in top/attic room low sloping walls felt cramped and workmen doing roof has to be done but not reflected in the price or mentioned when booking very disappointing

The hotel is in a perfect position on the promenade, free evening street parking was available and I think there is a payable car park too. Rooms were spacious, warm, clean, the tea and coffee tray was well stocked and soap and shower gel was available in the bathroom. Towels were large and soft, I felt that my duvet was too light but that’s just my personal preference. Breakfast was beautiful, everything you could want, fresh, well cooked and continuously replenished. The restaurant was huge so no problem getting a table for breakfast either. Pool was on the small size with only 10 bathers allowed at once but the water was warm and the facilities were clean.

Was welcomed by a lovely receptionist and it continued to all staff who were all friendly. Bedroom was nice with a good sea view. Food was very enjoyable and fresh water available. Been to hotel before and would still recommend it to others. Perfect spot for all attractions

The room was small but had everything we needed, it was clean and very warm. The staff were welcoming and helpful and check in was easy. Nice bar overlooking the prom and an excellent view of the pier. Food looked lovely although we did not eat there this time. Shops were very close, abundance of cafes and coffee shop within 2min walk. Second stay at the Marine Hotel will definitely be staying again
