Good prices and room was in good position looking out at sea. Comfortable bed with clean bedding and towels, nice and quiet allowing for a good nights sleep. The room was clean but 'tired' especially the bathroom. Close to excellent shopping and wonderful Victorian architecture on most of the buildings

Parking difficult with aving to use mobility scooter. Room clean but bsthroom very small. STAFF EXCELLENT Excellent shops close by. Excellent

Hotel is in poor condition, needs repair! Creaky floorboards, water stained walls, and heating system woke us up at 5am sounding like a hammer drill (many others complained!). Staff were good, breakfast ok. Very much a coach party budget hotel - wouldn’t stay again

When I have reached they gave us both rooms in separate directions as I have booked together. One room was small and one was bigger. When I asked them to change they said we are booked. So I had waited for half an hour to get another room and it was on 1st floor and second room was on 3rd floor. We booked rooms together to enjoy trip but this hotel ruined everything. Bathrooms are too old but in photos looks everything new. Rooms are also very old. Even housekeeping didn’t clean our rooms and when I asked for towel when I came back at hotel they charged me 5£. So could you please compensate if possible because it was just waste of money. And I have paid more than 200£. Very disappointed.

Have been staying at the Marine now for a couple of years on and off. It’s a Pitty they still not done the changing rooms for the indoor pool! No excuse to not have even started it in all this time. They also charge you for the towels now for the pool, £2.50 when it was free. The receptionist said guests were taking the towels so they have to charge. This I don’t understand as they have your card details so could easily pass on the charge for taking the towels to the guest !! Bar staff lovely n friendly as usual. Room was ok, not the best but had a good night sleep . Overall a good stay

Amazing staff

The staff were lovely and very friendly. I wanted to thank the young man who was on the night shift on 20/21.02 who happily made me a few cups of tea whilst I sat in the lounge early in the morning because I was awake very early. As for the hotel itself, it clearly needs an overhaul, as there were a few issues which needed addressing regarding our room such as a badly fitted draughty window, a blocked bathroom sink which caused the smell of sewerage to come back up the bath plug hole when the sink was emptied and also the fact the bath end panel was broken and had a piece of gaffer tape holding it in place. Not what we expected for the price paid. The location was good but parking was not available at the time and we had to park a few streets away in the town.

Our 2nd visit here, and it wont be our last. Lovely seafront location, with parking. Extremely clean and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast . Great value for money

In a prime spot on the sea front , the hotel was very convenient for us . It is an old hotel but with some character and it is tired and worn in some places . That said the staff are lovely , nothing is too much trouble when you ask questions . The restaurant and bar areas are good as are the bar prices . We had a 3 course evening meal and this was very good and we were well looked after by the serving staff . Breakfast was also excellent the following day with quality food available and good coffee and juice too . Our room wasn’t the best , but we were only staying for one night and we could overlook the tired condition and flaky walls . We had a good night’s sleep and it was quiet too . Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay here again in the future .

It was a nice pleasant stay. Clean room. Heating that actually worked. Just a shame about the fire alarm going off at 2.30 am.

Second stay in this hotel this time it was a standard sea view room. Not as nice as our last stay. Room a bit shabby and smaller. Could have done with a paint . Defiantly go for a superior room if you want a better room. Location good
