I never write reviews, but this warranted one. The only reason I booked this hotel, which is not as close to amenities (except central market) as other hotels was to access what appears to be the only hotel indoor heated pool in Adelaide. This was not working - it was freezing. Apparently it was a maintenance issue they’d “just heard about” that day and there were maintenance staff there to fix it (we saw no one). No one advised us of this, prior to (or at) check in, even though I specifically asked where to find it. The spa was also not hot and the bubble function not on.
Second, we found a sugar sachet under a pillow in our bed, which is concerning as to whether the sheets were fresh or they just re-made the bed.
Third, the required QR codes / hotel menu were not in our room, so I had to call down for them.
The kids menu is at least $20 a meal, and the dessert chosen wasn’t available.
On the plus side, the restaurant staff and most of the front desk staff were lovely. The rooms and bed was comfortable.
Note the restaurant is small, and you need to book.
I know much of this sounds trivial, but we were only there for one night, as a special end of term treat with my daughter, so it was all a bit disappointing. Definitely not a 5 star hotel.
