Lovely place we arrived on a cold wet evening staff had gone,for the evening
We opened our room to toasty warm and welcoming
It is a little tricky finding property on Macquarie st as wet, peak traffic, impatient drivers beeping, us driving slowly trying to find the entry to motel and parking
Besides that is was wonderful
Staff went the extra mile definitely will return,

The staff members, especially Chris, were very friendly and the included breakfasts were very nice! The location of hotel is brilliant. Not only near the the skybus stop, this also within 5-min walk to the Salamanca Market and the pier. In addition, St. Joseph Church, St. David’s Cathedral and the beautiful St. David’s Park are nearby. Visitors can get nice quiet time over there!

The staff members, especially Chris, were very friendly and the included breakfasts were very nice! The location of hotel is brilliant. Not only near the the skybus stop, this also within 5-min walk to the Salamanca Market and the pier. This was an older but very well restored hotel with extremely tall ceilings and somewhat dated fixtures. We all thought it was great value for the money and the staff were very helpful for us.

Kind, Caring & Easy communication. Late check in after visiting friends, clear instructions and guidance in how to access property and room. Was a freezing & windy night in Hobart, so grateful for the heaters popped on, welcoming us with a warm and cozy space to retreat. Breakfast was delicious and we very much appreciated the fresh fruit and delicious coffee.

The Macquarie Hotel is in an excellent location. As a historic building, it is a little quirky but charming. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in supplying breakfasts when I needed to leave early in the mornings or to check in later in the evening after the reception was closed. They were also very helpful with my laundry needs. I would very much recommend the Macquarie Hotel for a great stay at a reasonable price.
