A nice hotel, perfectly located in the city center across from the castle. A nice, clean room with air conditioning. Good breakfast. It’s best to park your car a little further away in the Ramen parking garage. Be sure to note the low-emission zone and vehicle registration requirements!

Exceeded our expectation. Didn’t regret choosing to live in the old town at Ghent. (Not very touristy. More authentic and chill experience in a Game of Throne like medieval town.) Night walk in the old town is a must. So the location is superb.
The room is very beautiful.
Staff is very warm and helpful. We had great chat with the young lad David. We can feel his enthusiasm and love to his home town. They also recommended great restaurants. We had one of the best meal in my ten years living in Europe.
Will definitely visit and stay here again.

A PERFECT CHOICE. The best location (just around of the big castle, and also have the tram stop), very good room and view, service very good also. Room is big enough.
The price is not really cheap, but compare to the other choice of the near price level, I strongly recommended this hotel.
One "bad side" for me is the supermarket is near to walk for around 1 tram stop, but there is some night shops around.
PS: One personal tips for peoples who stay here. If you are boring to common burger and firies meal, pls walk (or take tram) 1-2 stop to the "Turkish zone".

The room is very beautiful.

What once was a spectacular residence, now hotel, has not been maintained. It's too bad as I do believe if you are to acquire this type of building, you should be committed to maintaining it.
I was disappointed with my stay. I stayed for two days and my room wasn't cleaned for two days consecutively. After asking the front desk it was cleaned. I think there were bed bugs because I go over 15 bites on my back, arms and hands in one evening, and proceeded to get them over the next two nites.
The expedia site page said laundry services were offered but was told by the hotel that wasn't offered. They said the outsourced service no longer was doing their hotel. I told them they should have updated their website to reflect this as I specifically booked with them for those services. I would have booked someplace else had I known.
There are rodents or birds in the air ducts. I stayed on the third floor of the 2nd building. I could hear them running in the air ducts.

We stayed 3 nights and we were excited to be at the hotel. Found the places noted in the pictures were common areas (hotel entrance and staircase). Those were charming and beautiful. Our room was in the other building which looked like a super 8. Drab, plain entrance, hallways and room. Our carpet had huge stains in it. We were disappointed with the room as we expected a charming space. The front desk staff were very unhelpful. Didn’t get up from their back desk to talk to you at the counter, rattled off locations for the bus without any context, didn’t have maps of the area, suggestions of where to eat and couldn’t be bothered to help in any way. Out of 3 nights out room was we cleaned once other than new towels. The location is good but I would recommend the Marriot instead. I chose this one as I thought the rooms would have some personality but the Marriot will likely have better service, similar location and their pictures of the rooms seemed accurate.
