Easy access to subway and public transportation. A lot of construction next door which was noisy during the week but quiet in the weekend

Great for a short-term stay. Good communication from the property owner and easy check-in and check out process. Good amenities and clean.

Location and communication were excellent. We booked for 4 guests and there were not enough dishes. There weren’t pots and pans that worked with the induction stove. No kitchen linens and had to request more toilet paper. If you were intending to cook, it was not a possibility. Staff provided some of the items promptly but we shouldn’t have had to spend time dealing with this on our vacation as it was advertised as having a stocked kitchen. Also, window blinds did not work.

As per usual, lovely stay at this location - we love the proximity to U of T, ROM, RCM, Queen's Park, and we always feel at home. The unit was spotless, although showing some signs of wear. Lovely welcome by staff and always responsive to our needs. We will return for sure.

Nice building . Staff managing the property is friendly and helpful (some of building staff less welcoming). Nice condo in good location. No EV parking and plugs are actually a bit hard to find in the area. Nice Whole Foods near by if you’re cooking in the kitchen. Close to U of T and the ROM

Great location and property. The rooms are controlled heat so unfortunately in the changing seasons the room was quite warm. Communication with the property was wonderful and a fan was brought up to our room. It would be helpful to have a fan in each unit.

It was a very secure, quiet building. Easily accessible to shopping and activities throughout downtown Toronto.

Avalon Suites Yorkville in Toronto offers a pleasant stay with spacious suites and stunning views of the city. The location is fantastic, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and attractions like the Royal Ontario Museum. However, the check-in process can be confusing, which might be a bit frustrating for some. Despite this, the prime location and overall comfort make Avalon Suites Yorkville a great choice for visitors to Toronto.

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Avalon Suites. The booking experience and pre-arrival communication with the property were great, but unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. When we arrived late at night, the unit was extremely hot—85°F!—and we couldn't cool it down. The air conditioning didn't seem to work, and while we opened the windows for some relief, it was pretty loud outside, making it hard to sleep. The beds felt small, and the whole place felt uncomfortable. The unit was clean and in fine condition; it was just not comfortable. The lobby had a really unpleasant sewage smell, which was noticeable. They tried to mask it with a strong, perfumed scent, which was also noticeable in the unit. Due to a family emergency, we only stayed for 11 hours of our 4-night reservation. When I notified the property about the situation, the response was that we wouldn't be getting a refund—without me asking for one. We weren't expecting a refund. The exchange didn't feel great given the circumstances. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Bed mattress condition was in a very bad shape, you can feel each spring when you sleep on it. The least that could have been done is adding a mattress topper if mattress is not already been replaced.

The building inside is beautiful, and the suite we stayed in was very nice as well. We really enjoyed having the separate area for the couch/tv/table/kitchenette. I especially loved how safe the place felt, you needed your key fob to enter the lobby and to go up in the elevators. There was also security 24/7. The Avalon Suites team were only a phone call or text away for anything we needed, and they were very friendly and helpful! The majority of places we wanted to go in Toronto were not too far away. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend! We would stay again in the future.

Property was clean, location is very nice. lacks transparency on climate control, it was hot the day we got to the apartment and the a/c is not working. We where advised to open the window. We only had one window it was extremely hot, and had to sleep with the outside noise. Also no fitted sheets, basically you end up sleeping intop of the mattress. Management needs to take in consideration that the apartment should be accommodated to what they state in their descriptions.

No free slippers for the customers, it's hard to find as well...overall fine, nice suite design, very clean and smell nice

I had the most terrible stay in there. My room was unbearably hot, staying at 90°F the entire time, making it impossible to sleep for three nights. Despite repeated requests for help, the only response I received was to "open the window"—which was broken and let in loud downtown traffic noise all night. The floor was so hot that I couldn't stand barefoot in the morning, and the refrigerator smelled awful. The conditions made my stay extremely uncomfortable and negatively impacted both my academic work and personal well-being. In the end, I was forced to leave early, taking an Uber home instead of my planned train just to escape the miserable conditions. I requested a refund and reimbursement, but the hotel has yet to provide any real response—only endless back-and-forth conversations, just like during my stay. Completely unacceptable service. I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere.

Location was fabulous. Perfect for shopping, dining, grocery stores, felt very safe, good building security. Parked the car for the week and walked everywhere. Kitchen has the basics, but a few essentials, like a cutting board, frying pan, and decent quality pot were not there. Bring your own toiletries, such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash if staying for more than a couple of days. Also, the unit was very warm and the thermostat cannot be adjusted, which meant we had to keep windows open and then deal with outside noise. However, the seasons are changing and this can be difficult to manage when it’s unseasonably warm outside. Overall, the positives outweigh the few negatives, and would stay here again.
