Lovely, elegant condo, clean & comfortable.

It is one of the worst experience of staying in a so called “luxury serviced apartments”. My family and I experienced a fire alarm escape without clear instructions and we needed to run from 23/F to the lobby via staircase in the morning of 8:30am. We also suffered with no water supply from 9-5 during our stay. Can you imagine you have to experienced these during a travel?! How hectic it was with no running water and toilet flush in a travel? We paid for a so called luxury stay but it turned out to be NOT. When you communicated to the service team, they only told you to understand without any help, support and solutions. When I requested to talk to a senior management, the staff refused and said “he would handle the same way”! What a response!!!! Don’t trust everything you read from website. My personal experience indeed is the truth. I definitely won’t recommend this accommodation to anyone, in view of its bad service as well as many many rigid rules set for the stay.

The thermostat was stuck and there was no A/C, so that I was roasting in the room, so much so that I had to sleep with the door open all night at the suggestion of the building concierge, just to breathe and the window had the crank removed so it was unopenable. Their solution was to come up while I was out, turned off the thermostat , opened the window somehow which only opens about an inch, and brought a tiny little fan. After all this, the temp still said 24 degrees in the room, so I couldn't stay there anymore. No instructions on the TV remote - there were 3 remotes and they could have had instructions on which to use. The shower faucet is loose. The concierge service for the unit closes at 10pm and the building concierge downstairs is not for the unit. There is no housekeeping service for the unit!

The overall condition of the unit was just OK. The bathroom is very dark, especially if you are taking a shower. There is obvious water damage. The kitchen was well set up, a notice mentioned instructions for using the dishwasher, but there was nothing. It was not a pleasant experience checking in, I spent the extra $50 to get an early check-in and specifically mentioned I required a 12:00 instead of the 3:00 as I had meetings at 12:30. Upon arrival, I was told that early check in time is 1:00, I received NO notice and I had to scramble to find a quiet spot for my meetings. I should have been told they could not accommodate me; they just charged me. To get in the otherside of the bed, you have to step up on a windowsill as the bed just fits. There are no bedside tables, so no place to charge your phone unless you put it on the floor.

Horrendous , filthy, looked nothing like the photos, stained mattesss, no pad, hair EVERYWHERE, bathroom counters, bed, floors, smelled, second bedroom no window, just a drape around it. Awful.

Room was worn out

Comfort Condo, 1 Bedroom: The pics in the ad are of different suites. I now realize I got the comfort condo and even that was incorrect as it was a studio not a one bedroom. None of those pics represent the space I got and paid for. They should have to advertise one unit specific to what you are getting or have a drop-down to show each different unit. Clearly a bait and switch! I will attach pics to show how the laminate flooring was completely in a shambles with big gaps everywhere. It was a mess. I informed Avalon only to hear that the flooring is the same throughout the building and not their responsibility. It’s a condo… fix it! What I can’t figure out is the many good reviews. Is that too part of their gig?

Wifi didn’t work well. Instructions on how to get into the building weren’t clear.

Very clean. Close to everything

Luckily, ran into staff on the way in. ASY is part of a Condo/Appt building. Concierge at from desk has nothing to do with them. I have no idea how I'd have gotten into the room if the staff person hadn't walked out of the service elevator at just the right moment. Handle on the tub water facet fell off into the tub while I was in it. Heavy brass and if it had hit my foot, there would have been a real problem. No wash clothes except for "dehydrated" face wipe thingies. Bed was very soft, unlike most hotels. Weather was cold, but room was warm. I just needed a place to sleep and it was sufficient. The price was acceptable. They seem very keen to keep laundry costs down. Repeated statement about increased cost if you get makeup (or bodily fluids) on a towel. One such statement is all that is needed.

Great location, right size room with key appliances

The room was clean, and the location was amazing. My only comment is I think it should have more cleaning products, at least proportional to our stay. There was not enough DW pods or extra trash bags for us to change the trashes.

Avalon Suites is one of the best accommodations I’ve stayed in. It is very comfortable and safe, with a fully equipped kitchen. The location is excellent and the walking area around it is absolutely beautiful. They provide parking, and there are also several indoor parking options nearby. The service is outstanding and exceeds expectations.

the number one reason why i recommend this place is LOCATION. plus the avalon suites staff were so courteous and attentive. the room was really clean had plenty room
