Very noisy hotel. Thin walls and our room looked into the lobby and it was extremely loud. We got woken up by a tour leaving at 1am and they were so loud in the lobby. Also you could hear the clunking of ski shoes in the hallways early hours of the morning so we did not rest well at all.

There was no pool. The hot tubs were decent. It was a nice stay but I would not classify it as family-friendly. The staff were kind but there was miss communication with the timing of the city bus and we ended up almost being late for our concert and ended up having to pay $16 for a 5 minute cab ride.

Excellent location! Steps to downtown Banff, grocery store, shops, restaurants and ski resort bus pickup is out the front door. For an old hotel, they have done a great job updating the rooms - price is reasonable. Only thing missing is a good restaurant (current one sits below the lobby and is like a cave.

Room didn’t have a microwave initially but we requested one and they provided it right away. The hot tubs and steam room were nice after a day outside, and never too busy. The restaurant food was good, and the foccacia was DELICIOUS. We ordered it as takeaway for a snack in the room almost every evening. Hotel location is fantastic for walking to the shops or dinner with no need to drive.
