The hotel presents as brand new with renovations and modernized upgrades. Staff was very friendly, room was incredibly clean and the breakfast was delicious. We’ll be back!

Subject: My Hotel Stay at Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn Dear Expedia: I am writing to formally complain about my hotel booking and unpleasant experience during my stay. On June 27, 2026, I booked a room at the Best Western Hotel in Calgary through Expedia. My booking was successfully confirmed, payment was completed, and I received a confirmation email containing a booking number. However, shortly after 5:00 AM on June 28, I arrived at the hotel, parked my car, and went to the front desk to check in, only to be told that the hotel had no record of my booking. I immediately showed the front desk staff my Expedia confirmation, booking number, and booking details. At their request, I also provided my bank card and logged into my Expedia account so they could directly verify the booking information. Although the hotel staff clearly saw that I booked the room through Expedia, they still insisted that my booking information was not in the hotel's booking system and therefore they could not check me in. As a result, I waited at the front desk for nearly two hours while the staff repeatedly searched for my booking information. Finally, I was able to check in at approximately 7:00 AM. This situation caused me great inconvenience. I have fulfilled all my obligations, completed the booking through Expedia, and paid in full. I was very excited to have a jacuzzi in the room, which I did enjoy. The breakfast was great! However, check in wasn't so great. I had no idea I would need a $200 deposit. When I finally got to my room, the key card didn't work, making me have to go all the way back downstairs to have it reset. Mind you I had a move out cleaning all day l, I finished at 11pm and checked on at midnight. 7am-8am gig to be at, so I was already extremely exhausted. When I checked out at 11am, I discovered my window was attempted to be ripped off. Receptionist said there is nothing they could do, pretty much told me not to leave valuables in my vehicle. I was parked in the back of the hotel where this happened. Just having finished moving out, I couldn't help but have items in my vehicle. Nothing was done about the damage.

Front desk very friendly and helpful (nice friendly man from night shift), rooms spacious, nice pool, we enjoy our stay (4nights)

Hotel was smaller than expected. Room was great. Used the pool. The pool was great. Breakfast was not good because of the limited options. I think I would try a different hotel next time.

Pros:very clean (except stains on the hallway carpets), spacious rooms, good breakfast, courteous staff, quiet, nice pool area Cons: situated on a busy thoughfare so alot of traffic noise if you're in a street facing room, only one elevator for the entire hotel, limited seating area for breakfast, limited parking

Excellent hotel, extreme excellent customer service. My experience was like a fire star.

Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and dark for the morning hours, and breakfast was hot with lots of good options. There’s a nice shallow pool great for toddlers, a regular size pool, plus hot tub. Lots of parking in the back.

The staff were really kind, and the location was great.

Good experience with little kids

On the one side of the building you get road noise for a busy road. On the other side of the building you get noise from the train. No matter which side you are, you will get noise

Breakfast good coffee was not so good rest was fine.

Newly renovated and in a great location. Used the hot tub, which was small but good. Breakfast was typical for a hotel breakfast but refilled regularly and food tasted fresh. Regular plug ins for EVs onsite, but there is a car dealership nextdoor with a charger that can be used with the proper app. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
