Great stay overall we have found our go to place in campbell River!

Excellent

I gave this review a very low rating for a few reasons: 1) Receptionist at check in did not give us the time of day and acted like she could not be bothered. Didn’t even acknowledge our presence and it was a local person in front of us that had to cut short their ongoing personal conversation so we could be helped. I found the receptionist to be very unwelcoming. 2) The room that was given to us was probably one of the worst in the building. The floor was in the bedroom was unclean, it smelled of smoke, and it was so hot at night I had to open the window when it was the middle of the winter. 3) The continental breakfast was abysmal. Even for North American standards. Scrambled rubbery eggs and bacon that did not look like real bacon and coffee that had the colour of tea. We only stayed for a night and at the time of booking it was a good deal for $50/night including taxes. So I shouldn’t really complain and I shouldn’t expect have expected much. The one good thing I have to say about this place is the location. Very close to the water if you want to take a nice scenic stroll. The restaurant/pub Acropolis next to this has excellent food.

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.

This is quite a dated motel but the rooms were clean and we had everything we needed and the price was very good. The staff was friendly and surprisingly what they called a "continental" breakfast included self serve eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice. We would stay again when visiting Campbell River. Bonus right across the street from the ocean.

Front and kitchen staff were great. The room and facilities were pretty gruesome though. There was so much dust, debris, spider webs. Either have a professional cleaner train the staff and hire professional cleaners to do a deep clean. It's time. The housekeeping staff were nice and helpful.

Place was fine, for the price. Run down and in need of a facelift, but if you need a reasonably priced place to stay with a decent breakfast this will do.

Very polit staff. Poor room condition. Lots of animal hair like cat hair on the floor. No housekeeping during my stay st hotel. Noone came to even ask for replenish coffee supply

Water temperature could not regulate. Very noisy. Good value for price though.

The room was very old as were the furnishings. The toilet was dirty, I had to clean it before I used it. The room itself was dirty. We did not stay, even though it was non refundable

We will never stay here again. Very Dirty, cleaning staff not seeing obvious things that need cleaning, outside entrance door doesn't lock. Absolutely anyone can walk in at anytime. People smoking pot in stairway. The person doing the breakfast .... well his sarcasm to people is rude. People had to keep asking for stuff he had in the back, his response was always "we didn't get a delivery " but he kept going to the back to get the stuff. Simple things like bread and bagels.

Won’t be back

Love that the hotel is pet friendly but sticking someone without a dog between 2 rooms with dogs that barked all night does not equal a great stay. Beds were fine and pool was good for the kids. But not being able to sleep and not having a solution availble for the night clerk who to his credit tried his hardest was not ideal and made some of the other deficiencies more magnified like not having working plugs by either of the beds

Here’s the good and the bad: The good Great staff Quick and smooth check in Great location with sea view Nice, clean and comfortable beds Nice and clean towels The Bad The carpet is dirty, looks like hasn’t been cleaned The sofa is dirty and hasn’t been cleaned We had to use a towel when sitting on it The balcony hasn’t been cleaned and there were visible dirt The lighting was poor Overall the price we paid (CAD 133 per night) is way too much compared to the quality of the room. Will not recommend or stay here again. Nice,
