Nuestra estancia fue muy buena, solo el transporte del aeropuerto no fue el planeado, el hotel aunque cuenta con transporte no va por los pasajeros si no te comunicas 72 horas antes de la llegada para que ellos se programen, en su defecto ellos te envían un transporte privado pero tú lo tienes que pagar.
Al llegar al hotel tuvimos algunas dificultades con el desayuno que aparentemente según la agencia que contratamos no lo habíamos incluido. La persona que nos recibió se llama Alonso Olivares, nos hizo las acomodaciones necesarias y nos instaló y durante nuestra estancia siempre estuvo al pendiente que estuviéramos bien y disfrutáramos del viaje. También Tania nos ayudó para que nos dieran un descuento en el desayuno y pues eso tomamos. No quisimos seguir teniendo más problemas porque no fue lo que planeamos, mejor decidimos gozar nuestra estancia en San José Costa Rica y disfrutar de sus alrededores.
Asegúrense de verificar y confirmar directamente con el hotel antes de llegar para evitar contratiempos.

It’s a dated hotel in need of an update. My room was right out of the 80’s and while it was high end dark wood and marble just know. The inclusive breakfast was great but the restaurant at dinner was not. Pretty grounds and pool area

El cuarto bien el baño muy sucio les dije que tenían que limpiar el toilet y si pero seguía sucio de adentro y algún día ni toallas para secarse nos dejaron y eso que estuve ahí por dos semanas pero yo no vuelvo a hospedarme ahí para nada

Great hotel! Lots of food options, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a good value. Feels more international and Costa Rican than other big brands. We enjoyed Barcelo very much.
Nice pool with poolside restaurant and bar. Beautiful setting.
My wife and I stayed on both the front end and back end of our trip to Costa Rica.
We will stay again on our next trip to San Jose.

My spouse and I enjoyed our stay very much. Barcelo is an oasis in the city.
They have friendly staff, a great property with a big pool and beautiful grounds and plenty of restaurant options. The Japanese restaurant was surprisingly very good. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed the “premium lounge” that was included for a few $ more.

Breakfast was good with mix of local and international foods. We were on the 6th (premier) floor, so had access to the lounge. That was a great bonus, woth wines, beer, and a selection of food available all day as needed. Great hotel at a good price.

I love staying at this hotel. I always stay at this hotel, when I am in San Jose. The people who work there are always fabulous. The hotel itself is marvelous. The linens & bedding are wonderful. The shuttle service is excellent. The breakfast is delicious.

Hotel was ok but towels were dirty and we had to ask several times for something. There was not a lot of thank you and sure, it was okay but not the 4-5 star standard you’d expect.
