The hotel was on a quaint street. In walking distance to restaurants, local souvenir shops and other hotels. The room was clean and recently renovated, beautiful pools with colorful lights at night, well lit area on the hotel property and surrounding streets. The staff was just awesome. The check in attendance carried our luggage up the stairs (there are NO elevators). He explained where the dinner area was and what was in walking distance. The check out staff was very, very helpful. Luis was the only fluent English speaking person and he went overboard in assisting us, made us feel like family. He brought our luggage down, translated for us with the transportation guy, and made sure we had breakfast. He had the staff mail some postcards for me. He, Eidily and Brandon stayed with us until our transportation came and waved goodbye, just like we were family. I would definitely stay there again. If you want a quaint, clean newly renovated place to stay, Soficu Eden Dominicus is the place to stay.

Perfect for me. Large rooms with private bathrooms, a pool and a good reasonable priced restaurant, beautiful plants, trees, flowers-true El Eden, Tainos statues, and a short-15 min walk to Dominicus public beach- everything I wanted and more. Because of the very reasonable price of the lodging it didn’t bother me that they didn’t have a light in front of my door, or that the building was old and squiquing something when walking inside- it had air conditioner and a vent. Overall- I LOVED it!
