Straight away in corridors floors and walls were filthy even in the lift.
Our room was worse- clumps of dust in the bath tub, dirty handprints and food and drink splattered on the walls, doors, floors and surfaces. Thick dust everywhere including the fan in 32degree weather… hairs in the bed and more. Not normally one to complain but I felt it had not be cleaned from previous stay so I went to show the front desk pictures of the room and we got “upgraded” to an executive suite.
This room was just bigger with a sofa but I would not call it an upgrade- floor had not been hoovered there was an even thicker layer of dust on everything including the fan again, the limescale and dirty around the bath, sink and walls was disgusting. Even the bin had not been emptied.
Front desk asked how the new room was and I showed them pictures and explained I’m still not happy it is dirty and I have no where else to stay for the night as it was 9pm and not from the area. They had nothing to say, until I started to walk to the bar and both team on shift started talking about us and how we are a problem not their cleaning.
Staff did not want to speak to us for rest of our stay.
Emailed to complain and even with photos attached from both rooms its just not up to my “expectations” and it’s not their poor cleaning standards to blame…
Been offered 30% off my next stay. What a joke will not be staying somewhere that let their rooms fester and treat guests this way again.
