Best Western White House Hotel

Bathroom in need of a makeover , bath panelling falling apart not very clean. Bed was broken straight down middle of divan , also took £50 just in case we broke anything money still hasn’t been returned 4 days later , rang hotel and they said it takes a while to get this deposit back

Staff were charming. Room was tired and not well cleaned as well being beyond the reach of the WiFi. Breakfast was grim and very limited rubbery scrambled egg, steamed hash ….beige, cheap catering sausages. Not worth the charge.

Great room with extremely comfortable bed and pillows Appreciated the smart TV so I could connect my Netflix. Unfortunately my stay was let down by the bad soundproofing between floors which caused a lot of annoyance and sleep disturbance. I understand the building might be old but I had to be mention this as I wouldn't stay here again, unless I was on the top floor.

The check in was easy and the staff were very friendly. When we got to our room there was an overwhelming smell of furniture polish. I opened the windows, my wife changed her shoes and we went out. On our return my wife changed back into her boots and then remarked that she could smell cat urine. I confirmed that a cat had urinated on the carpet. It was obvious that the cleaners had tried to disguise the cat pee smell with furniture polish. I informed the manager and asked for another room. The first one had an overpowering smell of stale tobacco and the second one had a less overpowering smell of stale tobacco. When we settled in to the room my wife realised she had stood in the cat pee and the left sock, shoe and boot stank of urine. In the morning we had a very reasonable breakfast for £12.50. We informed the receptionist that my wife had stepped in cat pee in the first room, her footwear was ruined and we would not be staying there for our booking for a second night I appreciate that it is a pet friendly hotel but covering up filth is not acceptable and cat pee is a hazard to health for children. I can’t recommend this hotel unless you desperately need to as you are travelling with a pet.

Staff support was lacking, only the fellow that helped me with my suitcases and the waitress serving breakfast were friendly and pleasant. The front desk ladies were snobbish, never greets, looked at me as if I were insignificant and not supposed to be there. The front desk lady was the worst of them all. Never cracks a smile, ignors my questions when i was seeking the hotel address. Answers with a troubling hum to me, a guest asking for direction with a very disapproving demeanor. At one morning, she was stretching when i passed to go for breakfast but b4 I could pick my plate, she must have sped, left her post to run to me in the restaurant and asked if I was a guest and my room number and

Staff were excellent and could not have been be more helpful! Room was dated and a bit scruffy but it was spotless and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Bed wad quite uncomfortable. Also told that by entering my car registration it would ensure i only poad £4 for my parking at Citiparks Church parking. However, when i paid, i wad charged £17.00! Hotel rooms were tired looking and in need of a freshen up.

it was a real great deal considering the price and the city, wouldnt complain . only thing i was not sure of - was there any noise insulation or everyone was just polite and really quiet. lovely place , great staff, good reception area and bar area. definately worth more visits if future allows. Would have preffered a bath instead of shower, didnt check whilst booking it.

They didn't tel me that my money will take 4 weeks to get back into my account, I didn't damage anything in the hotel so why will my money take 4 weeks

Not the best parking but good value

Cheap place to stay with clean comfortable rooms with everything you need.
