I stayed at The Bloc Hotel during a short trip to Birmingham for an event, and overall it was a great experience. The location is really convenient – just a short walk from the train station and close to the Bullring, which made things a lot easier after a long journey. It was a relief to know I didn’t have far to go once I arrived in the city.
I mainly used the hotel to drop off my things and get some rest, as I was out all day at the event. For that purpose, it was ideal – affordable, clean, and comfortable. A nice touch was the free water bottles provided in the room, which was appreciated.
One small downside: there wasn’t a mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. So if you’re someone who needs a mirror for makeup or getting ready, that might be a bit inconvenient. It would be great if they added one to the room in the future.
Overall, a solid choice for a short and functional stay in the city.

Room was clean and tidy and we opted for no window room, the bed was comfortable and overall liked everything provided. First time staying here will definitely stay again much better than other hotels we have used in the area

So, it does what it says - a bedroom and a bathroom - very well
No restaurant or anything , but they have negotiated deals with other - very local- hotels for food etc.
Knowing this, I’d stay again

Great location / area, no issues walking back at night / early morning
Room had everything could need & suited me perfectly. Only minor thing I would say the soundproofing of the rooms could be a bit better but didn’t impact my stay / sleep and I would certainly look at going back to that hotel again.

Nice modern property within walking distance of the Metro. Noisy at night though, and the room was very warm. No parking either, which meant car parks 10 minute walk away or on street parking. Privacy was also a bit questionable. Opposite our window was a block of flats. We could see in to their homes and they could see into our room. The only option was a full blackout blind, which meant no natural light.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Convenient and although room is quite compact it was quite modern with lights, air con, heat and door controlled by app on phone. Even key cards for those not tech savvy. Only downside was lift was broken. Price was good and staff efficient and customer focussed.
