The hotel is great. I stayed there in 2018 when it was the Bloc Hotel. It's simple, well designed and the standard rooms are... standard (everything you need), while the studios are a little more luxurious. The staff (both my visit in 2018 and 2026) are amazing. Most recently, Tom was awesome. Customer service done right. It's not hard, but hard to find these days.

Possibly the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Bed was comfy, difficult for two of us to get dressed in the room at the same time 😂. Basic common area amenities, mention of a grab and go breakfast but no sign of one. Paid coffee machine in lobby. Good venue in nice part of Brum close to pretty St Paul’s Square. Probably won’t stay there again, but it was ok.

Very nice hotel good location , a bit too contemporary and not very warming feel when we arrived. Could not find where the eating area was ( no one pointed this out ) was only greeted with a coffee machine . Room was very clean and very comfy bed and pillows, opted for a windowless room as it was cheaper but missed the natural daylight and struggled to wake up .

The room was clean and despite having no window (which we knew about before our stay) it was a pleasant temperature throughout with the Aircon. The staff were lovely and made sure we were happy with the room. My only complaint was the fact there was no kettle in the room and you had to go to a machine down stairs and pay £2.50 for a cup of tea. We were not aware of this, I've never stayed in a hotel in the UK without tea and coffee making facilities. This would probably put me off staying again which is a shame as otherwise the stay was perfect.

I was initially quite happy with my room - it was clean, the amenities were new, and it felt like great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. Unfortunately, the stay turned out to be very uncomfortable. The bed was rock solid, as were the pillows, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Even with the fan turned off, there was constant noise throughout the night, and the thin walls meant I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms. While I appreciate the cleanliness and service, the noise and lack of comfort made for a restless night. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Comfy room with a nice shower. The room comes with shampoo and conditioner, which is handy. Great location. My only issue was how noisy other guests were, I was woken up every night by people shouting in the corridor. It’s a risk you take with cheap hotels in city centres, but if you want a good sleep then consider somewhere else.
