This was our first time back in over a year since under new management.
We had the most lovely breakfast hamper in our room of yogurts , fruit ,museli , fresh milk , honey with tea coffee chocolate & juices.
This was so much better for us personally as did not have to rush up to go down to breakfast in the morning giving us a much more relaxed approach to the day ahead .
It was replenished if you put your sign on door next morning.
I much preferred the layout of the bar area tables & chairs in the pub , and decorated tastefully Halloween .
We booked a table in the restaurant for the evening and the food did not disappoint. Both hubby & I had the plentiful rump steak which was cooked on the grill to perfection .
A short walk to Runton beach via public footpath from road .
Can’t wait to come back loved our stay 10/10 !

Lovey staff. Food good. Nice bar, but the room was freezing as was the loo. No central heating, only a small blower heater. We couldn’t find the switch for the towel rail in bathroom. Couldn’t wait to leave. We were family in room 17. Steep stairs so beware for this room and don’t book unless it’s warm outside!

The main issue was no heating in the bedroom we were booked in (7) so we were moved to (5) which also did not have heating.
Furthermore, there was no hot water so we had to boil a kettle to wash.
The receptionist promised to report our complaints to management but, even after I sent emails, no response.
The hotel should not be open to paying guests until the services are working.
We wish to have a 50% refund - please could you arrange this?

Nice room and breakfast hamper.
But the single bed mattresses needed replaced. The room was too hot even we can’t turn the heater down. We had to opened the window through the night

Room was nice n clean a good size there wasn’t a lot not to like I will say tho our room was at the front of the property which looked out onto the road which was noisy at times even with the windows closed.

We very much enjoyed the hotel and its setting.How ever we we had booked a table for lunch but was not one available and had to wait for one lunch was chaos i got my carvery 40 minutes after my husband as we had to que separately as we had our dog with us. There was also menus on display showing two different prices for the carvery .we were charged the dearer one when i queried it with a waitress she said it was a mistake and they only had the unlimited carvery ! Price. As i am only a small person i cerainly couldnt eat any more then one plate of food .
