This was our second visit to Lumley Castle. Our room was very spacious with a very comfortable super-king bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast this time, the continental part was very good but the full english was a bit disappointing unfortunately, we would have the waffles next time as they looked amazing. Will definitely stay again.

Superb. We got married in Lumley in 2012, went back for the latest anniversary. It's as stunning in 2025 as it was back then.
Will be making it a yearly trip from now on.

At first the room felt quaint, followed by quirky. But it quickly becomes queer.
Wallpaper was falling off the wall, furniture was dirty and it wasn't possible to access the double bed from both sides. Certainly not a good room for anyone who is tall as it's set in the eaves.

A beautiful location, staying within an actual castle grounds. The breakfast was amazing and catered for myself and my partner who is vegetarian. All members of staff were really friendly including the cat that greeted me as I went for breakfast. The only negative was how loud the room above was throughout the 2 night stay, but we still slept well and had a great time.
