This hotel is little better than third world. Very poorly furnished rooms, probably 1960. Dirty bathroom. Weeds all over the car park. Cupboard with no shelf. Just looks extremely tired and that nobody cares about guests. We left after seeing the room and booked in at Bramley House Hotel which was excellent. I will be seeking a full refund. DO NOT STAY HERE.

After check in we were advised that we were in “The Residence” section of the hotel. Upon entering we were greeted by filthy carpeted stairs leading up to our room. On opening the door we were then met by a vile smell…the room had clearly not been used/aired for some time. The carpet was covered in stains, the bed frame fabric was ripped, a freestanding chair was also covered in stains. All this before inspecting the bathroom….disgustingly dirty. Shower door was thick with dirt & limescale, black mould around the bath & taps, really not appealing. My partner insisted that the room was changed. This time we were in the main hotel. Albeit this was more agreeable but even so cleanliness was distinct in it’s absence. The sink didn’t drain properly & the shower door support was corroded with limescale once again. This was a hot evening but the aircon unit had clearly had it’s day & was useless. We had very little sleep & so was not a restful stay! Breakfast…..a bit chaotic, continually running out of plates etc or elements of the cooked choices. Eggs were very greasy & the sausages of very poor quality. Whole hotel is in a poor state of repair and there is no excuse for poor cleanliness. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel. In my/our opinion this establishment would scrape a 1 star not the supposed 3 star it has been awarded.

I have numerous food allergies and Jane and her team were amazing and cooked me a wonderful breakfast. Thank you very much xxx

The room was clean enough although the bath edge needed some black mould removing. Other areas like the lift lobby needs looking at "cobwebs" Staff helpful and courteous. Food was good and parking plentiful. Finding the entrance was difficult as only one sign which was from town centre and if entering towards town there is no sign at the entrance.

Hotel average ,room adequate but toilet dirty, room needs updating -no drinking glasses, fridge clock or phone

A 'fairly' modern hotel which is generally well decorated and furnished. Our room was quite comfortable, clean and with tea/coffee and tv. Reception on the TV was not good. Dinner at the hotel was tasty and well cooked as was breakfast.

The food was cold and had no flavour, there was a small choice of cooked food. Upon arrival there was no staff visible

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our visit. The facilities were well maintained, and overall we were very happy with our stay. The only issue we experienced was with the balcony. There were pigeons regularly staying there, and unfortunately a large part of the balcony was covered with pigeon droppings, making it difficult to use and enjoy the outdoor space. We love animals and understand that this can be difficult to control, but we feel the balcony could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Apart from this, everything else was excellent, and we would be happy to stay here again.

The staff was very helpful and very polite, the food was amazing too. The rolms was lovely and clean although .y only moan was my mattress was very well worn out and dipped in the middle apart from that it was a lovely stay and would go back again.

Reasonable price . Just a bit tired . Otherwise not bad at all.

Plenty of parking. Bathroom in room poor. Bath panel has big crack across and broken off bits on bottom of it

Don't book breakfast at the weekend as only served after 8 and until 9 Very dated room was dirty and very dusty and a dead spider on the wall

The room was very clean and staff is very friendly and nice there's a lot of parking space available

We booked a twin room that was very large. It was clean and the beds comfortable. The room and hotel could do with a bit of TLC but reflected the price which was really reasonable. It even included breakfast which was an unexpected bonus 😄 Staff were pleasant and very helpful
