Even though the hotel is on a main road the room was peaceful and quiet. The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre. With plenty to do in the evening.

Needs a lot of TLC....one to miss i think. Theyre doing their best i guess but it smelled awful, bathroom needed bleaching, lots to do there.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly so I would recommend it to everyone

Room poor, breakfast poor

On arrival we were greeted by a gentleman at reception, he offered us an upgrade for £15 per night to a room which he informed us was normally £120 per night with a king size bed and a spa bath. We paid for the upgrade, once in the room we realised that the “king size” bed was not king size at all but two singles pushed together, with a king size duvet cover but a double duvet inside it! Some of the jets in the bath did not work and the lighting in the bathroom was very dark. The tv took at least 10 mins to actually come on, we asked the receptionist how to get the tv to work and he just replied with “switch it on”. One of the cups in the room was not at all clean, neither was the spoon, we asked for some more sugar and coffee and were told by two different members of staff to check the wardrobe, however there wasn’t any in there.There were cobwebs all across one of the windows. for the most expensive room in the hotel it was one of the noisiest rooms facing the main road with no double glazing, and very big windows to have no net curtains up, it felt as though anyone in the houses opposite or walking past could see straight into the room

Don’t stay here, the room certainly wasn’t “superior” as advertised, was i poor condition and dirty ! The window latch was broken, reported and nothing done, bathroom was dirty, and loads of dust on lightshade above the bed and in all very dingy ? The bracket holding the TV on the wall was loose and in a dangerous situation and could have fell off at any time ! When I reported to reception on checking out the person on reception was quite rude and said “nothing to do with me I’m just the porter”?? Stood there for 15 minutes as he was trying to take payment via computer from my card, then another card and finally with a card machine with no success , he then just turned and put his coat on and disappeared leaving me in limbo as to what was going on ?? So just left and someone else phoned a couple of hours later very apologetic and took payment. All in all not a good place to stay as far as I’m concerned, yes the reception was quite nice and well presented, tidy and clean, just a pity the rooms were not of a similar standard. Will not stay there again

Nice location for what we needed

The property was generally tatty and rundown. The bathroom had a very strong and unplesant smell of raw sewage and our view was of a dumping ground of rubbish from neighbours. We did not eat at the restaurant but thought the lack of guests may be an indication that the food may not be fresh.

Lovely family hotel with good service

Friendly staff, the room was a bit tired but was comfortable.

Convenient for late night arrival after a gig. Free parking. Good value breakfast. Clean and neat room with gd shower. Million times better than Travelodge options. Reasonable price for Saturday night.

All was fine apart from the TV that had a mind of its own

Arrived at hotel, went to room and bedding was blood stained and soiled with urine, bathroom dirty, sink and toilet. Reported to receptionist who changed bedding, apology but no compensation offered.

Carpet not clean

The property is dated, could use a lick of paint here and there, bed was comfortable, sadly other guest were inconsiderate.
