Outdated but perfectly acceptable

If you are looking for value for money in walking distance of the city centre, you cant go wrong. Clean and comfortable and delightful staff. Made to feel very welcome

Clean room, helpful staff

Room was neglected yes tho adequate not clean by any standards , also had MOLD around the bath bed was ok tho left with a Bad Back ache ,Breakfast was adequate cheap cuts of bacon frozen hash browns and even at 7 am the food was Luke warm with no eggs and coffee NO DECAF Terrible WIFI. Needs a total refresh Every night of the 4 nights there was LOUD NOISE MUSIC from the other PISSED UP DRUNK REVELLERS

Police incident in the night and no real explanation the next day

Good parking, large room, bathroom good. Convenient to walk into town centre and excellent if going to watch the football at Peterborough.

The room was ok, a little tired perhaps. There was no shower gel in the shower which I didn't find out until I was already naked and wet. - this was replaced when I told them but that didn't help the first shower. The carpet had not been vacuumed or not done properly as there were what looked like peanuts by one side of the bed. The evening meal first night we were only offered a burger and chips - it was basic but it was ok. The breakfast was very poor, the food had been kept warm too long so the sausages, bacon, hash browns and black pudding were quite hard, the baked beans were dried up and stuck to the edge of the container and serving spoon, the scrambled egg was also quite dry. We ate out the second night and when we returned to the hotel we were told there was no chef so no food that evening. Good job we had eaten out already. 2nd day breakfast we came down earlier thinking it may not be so dried up - we were wrong, if anything it was worse, the black pudding was so hard you could not get a fork into it. The coffee was cold on both days, it seemed the percolator hot plate did not work. All things pointed out to staff and on day one a fresh brew of coffee was put on and was hot, I didn't bother on day 2. Drink prices at the bar to me were good, we come from the south east. Staff we engaged with were always pleasant and as helpful as they could be. Proximity to city centre was good, a short walk away and the price was reasonable, both of which were why we stayed here.

The staff and the hotel was clean and tidy but the mattress was horrid I could feel the springs and the room next door had the TV on full blast until gone 1.30 in the morning

It's an aged hotel, but ok if you're on a budget

The bed needed a new mattress. Room a bit tired. Staff excellent.

It was okay, dated and stale but otherwise acceptable for the rates

Bathroom floor in need of repair, loose raised tile, stopping door movement, no grout around the tiles. No soap left in the room by sink or shower, had to ask for some at reception. The room smelt of cigarette smoke. I was above the back door room 51, was woken at midnight by someone outside talking on their phone for an hour or so, others chatting before entering the hotel. Staff nice. Wifi ok not great signal.

Even though the hotel is on a main road the room was peaceful and quiet. The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre. With plenty to do in the evening.

Needs a lot of TLC....one to miss i think. Theyre doing their best i guess but it smelled awful, bathroom needed bleaching, lots to do there.
