The breakfast was was left in the room . 4 slices of bread for 2 persons. The mattress on both beds were absolutely useless , could feel the springs when you sleeping, I think the owner needs to replace the mattress, talking to other guests , they also commented the same !!

Clean, comfortable room, with enough food for a good breakfast. A little out of the centre of Lincoln, maybe 1 mile, which if your happy with then this property offers excellent value for money.

Everything was good for the price

Excellent value for money. Comunal kitchen so great ifvyou would like to grab a take away from the many places around the corner. Only thing i would say is a lot of road noise in the room however they do provide earplugs which help. Overall very happy.

My husband and I stayed here for a night for our anniversary. Couldn’t have picked anywhere better. It was perfect. We could walk into the city for a meal and then drinks on the brayford after and a leisurely walk back. Would highly recommend

Gosh I paid £100 per night for the two previous hotels and they gave nothing except coffee and one of them was a premier executive room. But the generosity and attention to detail in this hotel was staggering. Honestly I was truly impressed at how the owner went out of his way to make everything perfect. And for an extremely exceptional price. Thank you very much for a superb stay. Will certainly return and recommend u anytime.

Area is one I know well but may be a little daunting for some. Suggest taxi into central or better uphill

The room smelt terrible on entering, a cross between sweaty feet and bodies, I can honestly say, we would have not stayed had we had an alternative at that late stage. Poor ventilation, to sleep with window open resulted really loud traffic noise (we were in room 2). We were unable to turn down the TV, you can only turn it up. Bedside light flashes if you wiggle the wire. Can’t open the blind on the upper window as broken. Kettle won’t fit under the tap. To refer to the breakfast as continental is pushing it.. a box of cornflakes each, a yoghurt each, 2 slices cheap white and brown bread in a ziplock bag and a SMALL can of baked beans between two. There was also x2 small cheap pre-packed cheese and honey and jam and a pint of milk. You take this to the shared kitchen downstairs to prepare….but there are now tea towels, hand towels, paper towels and it’s only as clean as the last person left it…which it wasn’t. The room was ‘clean’ to be fair and having said all this we didnt sleep too badly. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend? No. BUT with a few relatively easy tweaks I think we would have had a different experience.

Overall, We found the room good and comfortable, however we didn’t receive instructions regarding check in and on arrival were not able to enter the property. We had to phone a number on the door to eventually gain entry, fortunately the weather was fine and was still light. A couple of other niggles were there was only one coat hanger in the wardrobe…we were only staying one night but that is totally inadequate. Hotel sign and name on the outside are not easily visible particularly as it’s a busy road and you come to the hotel very quickly after entering the road…needed to carry on and eventually turn around. Not enough electricity points, television , fridge and kettle all in same area, so had to switch one off to use another, also one socket by bed for lamps so could either have lamps on or plug in I pad. needed over bathroom mirror, possibly a battery stick type would suffice but more light needed to use the mirrors. Breakfast items were adequate and generally the room was clean and comfortable. Outside of building could do with some cleaning and TLC.

The Tennyson is very clean and comfortable and offers great value for money.

The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room It is situated on quite a busy road but I had earplugs so not a problem. The breakfast is left in your room for you to take to the shared kitchen and prepare, I hadn't seen that before but there was more than enough food. Overall very satisfactory.

It was a nice property we would stay again, but they need to advertise the parking as limited

I stayed 1 night for work, the place was tidy and clean, I was in a room at the front of the property so could hear road traffic. It wasn’t too noisy. Kitchen area was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Parking only for 5 vehicles if people park correctly. I would stay again as it’s good location for travel to the centre of Lincoln isn’t to far away. But its convenient for my work place when I’m in Lincoln.
