The breakfast was good but wasn't a buffet as it usually is because not many people in for breakfast. Parking was fine with no problem

My room was fine, hot water and a comfortable bed and a sea view so that was fine. Parking was good and efficient, felt safe. Breakfast was fine, limited fruits and croissants but the hot plate menu was good. Staff a bit hot and miss. Receptionist on arruval was good, bsrcstaff a bit abrupt early on with our group. Actual tables for christmas do was weak. Crackers were cheap and basic avd the choice of food was cheap and not very appealing, all rather basic two star impression

Scruffy, run down, badly maintained room, noisy, no sleep, no paying guest attention, no paying guest consideration, baronial dining room for breakfast with a few bits stuffed up one corner, cooked breakfast was offered but i didn't fancy anything from there. All the hype on website must be from friends and family as the place reminded me of a Salvation Army doss house!!

Nice one night stay

Nice staff and great location with decent parking only downside was the noise from the street had a restless night sleep not the hotels fault . Rooms quite dated .

Our room was very clean and a good size with beach view. Although eveeything was fully functional some of the furniture was showing its age. A nice touch was the tea coffee and biscuits. Room was very dated but clean. Was kept awake by the noise outside as pubs and clubs opposite. Had a meal in the bar but potatoes were rock hard so couldn't eat them,had to send it back but came back the same so had an alternative. Only there for one night though so didn't get the full picture

Beautiful hotel great atmosphere very friendly satff

Very nice hotel, luckily we had a sea facing room as the nightclub opposite hotel stays open till very late. The staff are all very friendly. Only downside was no slip mat in bath for when using shower.

ok, the hotel shows some signs of age in places,but not many! nice and clean, great staff, comfortable rooms and about 95% more character than a premier inn..

We did not get much sleep due to the mattress being most uncomfortable

everything was great except the bed was hard and worn out , that was the only bad thing

Nice friendly place full of character. High ceilings and spacious rooms. Very good breakfast. WiFi is hit and miss depending on where you are, but good speeds when you get them. Ideal position for the shops restaurants and pubs and free overnight parking outside. A safe area. Ideal overnight stay for Bristol airport - about a 30 minute drive away. Request a sea view room via the app - if you don’t you won’t automatically get one.

The room was really nice and the location superb. The noise from the bar downstairs, though, was too much. The volume of the music was unbelievable. I went down to talk to the receptionist about it who wasn't very helpful. Maybe she just couldn't hear me. Seriously, our room was vibrating. For this reason alone, I would be very wary about booking the Royal again.
