Great location, 10 mins walk from the harbour arm.
Lovely rooms, we chose a sea view and the sound of the waves crashing in the morning was so relaxing. Great service, particular thanks to Cheryl on the front desk. All staff attentive and helpful.
Really well cooked breakfast with lots of traditional cooked breakfast choices.

The balcony overlooking the sea was beautiful, it was so nice ti sit there in the evening and first thing in the morning.
All the staff we met were absolutely lovely. Check in was quick and easy.
Hotel is a bit dated. The ladies toilets by the bar were blocked but the gentleman working reception guarded the toilet door for the men's whilst my friend used it so she felt safe.
The bed was really comfortable. I should have asked for an extra pillow as one wasnt enough for me, but this didnt spoil the stay.
The room was a great size. Free toiletries smelt really nice.
Close to town and the station.
I would stay here again

It's an old building and a bit shabby in places but kept clean and tidy. The staff were all very polite and helpful, they left us to enjoy ourselves but were readily available if we needed anything

Hotellet trenger total renovering. selv de enkle ting har de ikke vedlikeholdt. Selv gelenderet på balkongen var så rusten at den nesten faller i fra hverandre. Hit kommer jeg ikke tilbake før de har total renovert. Men byen Folkestone var sjarmerende og jeg vil besøke den igjen. Blir nødt til å finne et mer moderne eller renovert hotell.

Had a room with balcony overlooking the sea. The room was a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable and clean.
The balcony had a couple of chairs to sit out on, which was nice.
One thing was the balcony doors closed and locked but could still be pushed / pulled open so wasnt secure. On departure i asked about a path down to the sea, but the reception said she didnt know the area so couldn't help, which was a shame.

Room was horrible. Not as described in pictures or description. Shower did not work, all furniture was extremely worn out, beds were terrible. Staff was very unhelpful and rude, asked for a different room or a refund and said they don't do that. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Very shabby, but reasonably clean. Very hot in the room with just a weak fan. Only one double socket in entire room and it couldn't have been further away from the mirror if it tried, so impossible to style hair, if that's something you would need to do during your stay. Musty old food smell in corridor. Bit of a shame as in good location.

The staff members that I met were polite and helpful. The hotel is old and in need of refurbishment.The windows would not stay open on their own and bits of wood were supplied to keep them open. The lift was old and rickety as was the decor. The mattress was old and needed replacing. The shower was fine and the bedding and towels were clean. Ok if you are staying for one night as we were ,but would not book for any longer . Not value for money

We had a warm welcome at the hotel, which unfortunately doesn’t have any parking spaces.
Our rooms were in the third floor, which we could access through an older elevator.
The hotel has seen its best years and probably needs a good investor to renovate the property and furniture.
It is at a great location, close to the beautiful beach and restaurants nearby.
We left before 7am, when breakfast was served.

Great stop over before Channel tunnel. Tea and coffee provided for early start. Friendly staff. Street parking after 8 is easy. I think metered until 6. Not sure about business hours. Pet friendly and very convenient for access to tunnel in early mo ning

The view is wonderful, but I felt a little uncomfortable there - narrow corridors, unused sections of the hotel, doors without a peephole, relative isolation from the reception as no phone and quite a distance. The receptionist knocked on my door at 2.30am demanding I come out to discuss noise in the block. She thought it was from my room. I refused as it was not me. Apparently there was noise the next evening, but I slept through it.

I needed a cheap hotel close to the Dover Ferry, and this was both close and cheap.
Somewhat shabby on the inside, but again, typically what you can expect on a low budget stay at a 2 star rated hotel.
Room was ok, bathroom very rudimentary, the 1st floor hallway smelled booze/drunkenness.
The receptionist was very kind and serviceminded.
Location was very nice.
All in all, I got what I paid for and can't complain on other than the smell in the hallway outside my room. Would stay there again if traveling cross the channel.

On the back of the bedroom door is a card you can hang up if you do not want your room serviced that therefore implies the room would be serviced as would normally be expected.
But it wasn't and when I queried it with reception they said the rooms have not been serviced since covid.
If that is the case visitors should be pre warned that the room would not be cleaned, waste bins not emptied,no replenishment of beverage trays, no clean towels .
You have to ask for these services .
